Well, we didn't "just" get back-- it was actually two weeks ago. However, there were too many issues that we had when we got back for me to have time to come to the boards, the most "fun" of which was two vehicles with dead batteries.
Anyway, we had an absolutely fantastic 9 nights and 10 days at WDW. We stayed at POP, our third stay there, and it was great, as usual. I'll be writing a trip report, but here are a few random thoughts.
-- Our usual time to go is early June, so I was apprehensive about the crowds being larger in late July. The first day of the trip nearly confirmed my fears, as the crowds were pretty large and my "park touring instinct" wasn't working like it usually does. However, once Day 2 hit, everything started clicking, and the crowds didn't really feel any worse than last June. There were a lot of Brazillian tour groups there, but they were well behaved and we never had a problem with them.
-- We used TourGuideMike's "Best Days", and they worked great. Our longest waits of the trip were for, of all things Pirates
, a ride that I don't think we've ever waited more than 5 minutes for. I guess because of all the hype over the movie and the new additions (very well done IMO). We waited about 20-25 minutes every time we rode it.
-- We finally got a chance to do the Green Team version of Mission: Space, and, much to my surprise, I really enjoyed it. My GF Nikkie won't do the orange version anymore as it makes her sick, but she loved the green version. We rode it a total of 7 times.
-- We rode Everest six times total, and we loved it. I still can't decide if I like it more than Rock 'n Roller Coaster, but I'm leaning toward Everest.
Anyway, it was, overall, a great trip. I'll be writing a trip report and hopefully posting some of my videos on YouTube over the next month or so.
Oh, and I just set the counter for a "really-early-extremely-tentative-not-set-in-stone" date for our next trip-- June 5-14, 2007. It was kinda depressing to see the countdown timer at 292 days.
However, I'm sure that time will get here soon enough!
