We're Back!! HIFS and Contemporary

The dinner buffet is your basic buffet fare, what I mean is nothing fancy, but good. I wouldn't be happy paying 13-17$ for it but for free everyone in our party thought it was great. They have a nice salad bar set up and a different soup every night, and the entrees are different every night too. They also have a small bar set up with kid friendly foods like mac and cheese, chicken nuggets, etc. Everyone seemed to find something they liked and we all always went away happy. We thought this promo was a great value, and we saved a ton on food. We were in sticker shock when we checked into the Contemporary. I've been to disney many times but it still gets me some of the prices they charge for food! I hope this helps.

We stayed at the HIFS in June and really like it a lot. I like the setup of the Hotel, no matter where your room is you are close to the pool. I have picture's of the HIFs at www.picturetrail.com where it say's visit album/members name put Tluvs2talk.

Hi all!

can anyone tell me if the HIFS Family Value promotion is open to the public? If so , how can I find out more information on it? We would really love the free buffet breakfast and dinner...

lbosua, yes the promo is open to the public. I got the package with the lottery promo. I found out about it reading these boards and mousesavers.com . On mousesavers it says it's for Florida residents but it is open to anyone. You book the 109$ rate with the lottery promo, present a loosing FLA USA scratch lottery ticket at check in and you get vouchers for 2 adult buffets per day. ( Breakfast is already free to all guests) The rack rate for us would have been $199/night, but was $109 plus free dinner with the promo, can't beat that!

Everyone complains about the elevators at HIFS,but we found that it was a place where the family stopped and talked to each other.
Sort of like how my teen tells me the important stuff in her life while we are driving in the car. But doesn't at home.

Ibosua, I got my family value package simply by calling the 800 number back in January. They offered it to me at 119.00 a night with breakfast and dinner included for everyone. I then saw that they have a corporate discount and took advantage of that which brought it down to 109.00 a night. Mine doesn't require any FL losing lottery ticket. However I don't know if they are still offering this, so I'd say go for the lottery ticket thing. Here is a little tidbit that I read somewhere here on the boards, but if you join their priority club (free), and you have a later flight then you can also request a late check out which is what I did........was told it's 2:00pm. Hope this helps.
