We returned on Friday from a two week stay at CBR. Hotel was very nice. We had two back to back reservations. No problem, however I was told that our card key for the second part of the trip would be delivered to our room at a specific time on the day beginning the second reservation. It wasn't. I had to go to guest services to pick it up. No biggie.
Although MK seemed crowded, the other parks weren't bad at all. We got fastpass for Test Track and Millionaire, but we never had more than a 10 minute wait for anything else. It rained almost every afternoon for about a half hour. Other than that the weather was good. Several days it was overcast, but that helped keep the temperature down.
Memorable events: We rode in the front car of the monorail for the first time. The driver was very friendly. We were cast as victims for the Backlot Tour portion where you get a lot of water dumped on you. DD is 15 and wants to be an actor. She loved this! We met a lot of very friendly people from the U.K. DD swears that she saw Mel Gibson at Epcot. I didn't, but I guess it was possible. Either way, it made her day! We went to Universal and got to do a soft opening of Shrek. It was great. I highly recommend purchasing the front of the line pass book.
On the downside, the dog (who was boarded at out vet's office at home) got sick the second day of our trip. We had a late start several days while I waited for the time difference so that I could speak to the vet. The dog is much better. The rental car received a very nasty ding in the driver side passenger door while parked at DTD. They will be turning it into my insurance company (ARGH!). When we got home, I found that somehow the light fixture on the front of our house had gotten smashed. I'll never know who or how that happened! Oh well, we still had a great vacation!
Let me know if you have any questions.
