We're back - got home last night...

Just a quick few words for now - the GF was wonderful, as always. The weather was the best ever: 75 - 77 degrees and sunny until the last 3 days, which were around 81 degrees and sunny! The parks were the emptiest we've ever experienced: 1-10 minute waits for everything except the Astro-orbiter (20 minutes), until Saturday, when everyone started arriving for Thanksgiving Week, I assume - then the MK was mobbed and we stayed away. We only had 1 day at the F&WF, since we arrived on 11/14, but it was great and not crowded in the least - we never waited more than 10 minutes at any of the kiosks, and 9 out of 10 times the wait was under 3 minutes, I'd say - all was yummy!!

All in all, a fantastic vacation, DD5 enjoyed herself immensely, as did we all, and I miss it already...more later...:D

We were there the same time as you. We checked into POR on 11/14 and checked out on 11/21. DH and I also thought the crowds were light--we've been in November twice before. Saturday we really noticed an increase in the crowds also, but still it was not too bad. The weather was perfect! We had a great vacation also.

I am glad that you guys had a great vacation. I can't wait until our upcoming trip. I'm hoping for your weather!
Tara:sunny:

I see you stayed at YC, and CR in the past....we're booked for the Grand in January...but I'm having cold feet...just don't know if it will have that Disney Magic or if it'll feel like another resort....we've stayed at Poly, AKL and OKW and this is our last stay for a long while...our children are 5,6,9 and was curious as to what your dd liked about the GF. We've visited in the past to do the Alice Tea Party...but I just hoped they would feel the magic staying there...do you have any preferences on room decor? Can you tell I'm overworried about this decision? Thanks for your update and would love to hear more details on GF.

Thanks!
Tara

We just got back also and felt the crowds were very light until Saturday. MK was nuts that day ( we went over for a few hours since I hadn't seen Spectro yet) We also went to world showcase that day and that did not feel bad.
Sunday we were at MGM and that was sort of crowded but didn't feel bad.
Yes Couldn't ask for better weather!!!!!!! It was fantastic.
we have already started planning for next year:)

Also just back....wasen't the crowds and weather awesome! Yes we also braved MK on sat., boy was it nuts, then again we were camped out in frontierland....
also did MGM on sunday. how different than beginning of the week....

hey guys, I think we were def. spoiled....it was our best trip ever!:)

how are ya'll handling the coming home blues??

We were feeling quite spoiled also. The weather was too good to be true. Then Saturday night for Spectro we waited to see the 2nd parade and sat over near Frontierland. It was DEAD over there and we were right in front sitting. Got great video and pictures.
We are NOT happy about being home!!!!!!
BUT we have already started planning our trip for next year. I think this time we will go right after Thanksgiving.:)

We got home Sunday night...Saturday we went to Epcot and Sunday we ATTEMPTED to go to MK...after seeing Philharmagic we left and went to MGM...it was much better over there and DD got to ride for the first time on R&RC!

Wow - there've been a lot of changes in the last week!

Last week was wonderful, and we are definitely spoiled as far as weather and crowds go!

Imhall2000, I think you'll love the GF - it's very magical there! I think my DD says it's her fave because it's the first resort she ever stayed at and has lots of happy menories! She had lots of fun at the CR, too. She loves the gingerbread house (and buying some tasty treats there), and dancing for us while listening to the band in the lobby each night. We all love the pools, the grounds and the general atmosphere. We love seeing beautiful brides strolling and taking wedding photos. We love it all!

We've only stayed in Conch Key, where the decor is Alice in Wonderland (blues, white and golden yellow accents). We like it very much. The views are great no matter where you are, whether it's of the pools, the marina or the gardens. We've never wanted to pay extra for a lagoon view, but I've heard they're beautiful! I'm sure you'll love the GF, too!
