Hi, All! My name is Sharma. This is my second attempt to make a pre-trip report. Last time, the end of the quarter at college and me moving to FL didn't let me keep it up. But now that the trip is closer, I can do it...

Before anything else, Let me introduce the Cast:

ME :

29, ex-engineer, Photography Grad Student, Puerto Rican living in Clearwater FL, recently married my Best friend!, Love Disney, this will be my 3rd trip...

DH:

27, Computer Engineer, Great Friend, Lover, Partner...My Best Friend, Likes Disney, Great Travel Buddy! This is 5th trip (Actually, 6th he went to Hollywood Studios for his birthday...but since it was only one day...let's not count it!

How all these started? Well, like you need some excuse to go to Disney...hehe. Actually, I'm turning 30! 30!! I always like to celebrate Birthdays. I think is very good reason to celebrate. Another year you are alive! Why not? So, birthdays for me are always important. Of course I have to celebrate my 30s! Disney and its What would you celebrate? Promo make it easy for me! So, DISNEY IT IS!

Official Birthday Date: August 27th! We are going from August 26th - August 30...

Accommodations:

We are staying at All-Star Movies and we are having for the first time, FREE DINNING! We used the dinning plan last time we were there but this time is FREE!

Back to Hollywood Studios after dinner to see Fantasmic or go to MK to see Wishes.

7pm Dinner @ Tokyo Dinning (First time here!)
9pm See Illuminations with a Margarita in hand from Mexico (maybe!)

I like them! But still I need to plan a little bit more on detail (yes, I'm a control freak in terms of planning). On the other hand, since it's my birthday I don't want it to be to strict or overly plan. I just want to have fun in one of my favorite places in the World!

I totally agree with you...I need more days! But we are saving some of the vacation time to go Home (Puerto Rico) over Christmas. So, My hubby couldn't ask for more days!!!!

I was researching ...and I decided to decorate our room with 30th Bday motive!. I've seen nice decoration works in the Resort Photo parts and got me inspired!

I looked online for some decorations and I found this:

For Decorating the Door and/or Window (depending on the room we get)

For the table in the room:

Maybe some confetti and a some Balloons!

And I'll definitely wear this (with my Disney Button, of course):

(I love the "why grow up?" part. I think it fits perfectly with being at Disney! Don't you think?)

This is what I have so far! Feel free for suggest anything else: decoration, special activity, etc. This is my 3rd time at Disney but the first one actually celebrating something so I'm kind of off on that matter!

Hi everybody!

Since I don't have any major updates, I decided to make a list of "Must to do things" at Disney that I haven't done before. I must warn you, the list could be unbelievable put My first time at Disney was in 2005 (almost 25 years old!). So, Since this is my 30th Birthday, what a great opportunity to get acquainted with Disney and do all those classics that we usually left for kids!

5. The Haunted Mansion (for this I have an excuse, It was in refub in 2007 when I went!)
Repeat the favs:

7. Monster, Inc
8....Castle!

They other parks I have them cover! Just the new Toy Story Midway Mania and the Spaceship Earth that was in refurb. I did the Epoct Passport last time, I was thinking to do the KidCo Mask this time. I hope they let me!

So, that's the plan for now...I'm also thinking to make my own autograph book so I can include the pages into my scrapbook!

Hey Everybody!

I just got up today to the sweet email that said I got an upgrade from ASMo to 1-br at Saratoga Springs!!! OMG! I still can believe it!!! It so cool!! This is the second time I have a Disney surprise like that.

The first one, was because of a mistake @ AKL! We had a Pool View room and got to the hotel before the check in. Our room wasn't ready. The lady @ the counter and I forgot that she was supposed to give us the keys (because we had the meal plan and everything in the package). We waited after 4pm and called again and the room was still unavailable. We decided to return to the counter and ask another guy it was there. We told us that apparently the family that was at our room haven't got their stuff out. He excused himself and went back, after a couple of minutes he returned and ask us that if we could wait in the lobby until he sort thing out. 10 mins later he came back saying that he was sorry about the situation and asked us what we thought about being upgraded to a Savannah View. We looked at each other (containing the desired of scream and jump and hug him) and said calmly: "Of course, that would be great!" Here a couple of pics to remember!

I've heard the stories about upgrades and stuff, but we always go with the mentality that it isn't going to happen and we are just there to have fun! I guess that helps, if it happens, Excellent! If not, we are still having a blast!!!

I've been kind of busy these between school work and working on a photo for a competition at the Tampa Museum of Photographic Art. I don't know if I'll win something but it will be a nice experience and way to get to know other photographers in the area...I good thing to keep my mind a little bit off the trip for NOW!!!

It was a great surprise the upgrade. I thought it was one of those Disney Store or other Disney email. I had to read it a couple of times and call to believe it!!!

Now, that we have a little tan...Let's continue with our update.

Since I made my ADR's I was feeling a little bumped because two of the rest I was hoping to have, didn't have availability for my days (and I call just at my 90 days mark ): Ohana for dinner and Coral Reef. I settle for Tokyo Dining and Kona. But looking at the menu, I got even more confused about how Tokyo Dining actually work with the Dining Plan. After a lot of thinking and going back and forth in the Reservation Online I decided to change my ADR's.

We usually share (except when it is buffet or something). We find it better for us, since I don't eat that much when I'm running around and We feel is a waste of food.

-All the breakfast @ ASMo, now they are at SSR!
-Marrakesh Lunch for Biergarten
-Tokyo Dining for Marrakesh Dinner

I'm MORE HAPPY NOW! I know were trying new places but we loved Biergarten last time, so it is worth trying it again!! Everything else is the first time we are going to try it...Let see how it goes!!!!


Now....back to the books and ! Two paper to write for Friday! Yikes!

If you've been following my tripie, you already know that I got the Free Upgrade to Saratoga 1BR Villa, but they were charging me a little extra for the 1 BR instead of the studio. Looking to the other upgraders here at DIS I got curious why they were charging me. So, I email Disney to know why...Don't get me wrong, the charge was nothing compare to the upgrade but I wanted to understand why.

So, once more Disney service worked well. They called me saying they found an error in the way the CM, who handled my upgrade, entered the wrong code and now I have a credit!!! With $2 extra (the credit for the tax between ASMo and SSR). Now I'm more than thrilled to go!

Today, I can't stop thinking about our next trip...I've been avoiding school work because my mind goes wandering about the Magical Place in the World...

I started revisiting photos of my past trips and I wanted to share them with you.

It all started on July 2005 - My first Visit

Can you believe it? I went to the world for the first time on 2005, I was almost 25 years old. My parents grew up not so fond of traveling. The love Disney Movies and the cartoons. But never took the risk to make the trip. When I started to work, I won a 4day/3night Days Inn stay in Kissimmee. I always wanted to swim with the dolphins so I added two more days and booked a Discovery Cove Package. Then Sea World, then Universal (because it is more for adults, I thought). I was left with 2 days to do something, so Disney will be...Because you can't go to Orlando without setting your foot at Disney. One foot is all it took for me to fell in Love with the Mouse...

After that trip, I knew I HAD to go back. So I started to plan our next trip which happened in 2007. This trip was very important. A lot of first and significant moments: first time onsite, first time at Animal Kingdom, first time with dinning plan, a new me with 50punds less. It also marked the change of carers. From engineering to photography. A month after the trip, I moved to Atlanta (living outside PR for the first time).

.....(sigh)...Daydream of a Magical World.....
