Well we're back!! We were in DLP from Monday 17th - Friday 21st, and we were blessed with amazing weather, especially the Thursday where in the sun it was so warm I was wearing a strappy top!!
For the first time I think I'm going to do a TR. I didn't do a PTR as I only joined here in Jan and had this trip all fully planned already!! lol But it would be a wonderful way to record the memories of the week - only wish I'd done similar for our Christmas trip - I might have to do a version for myself with as much as I can remember.
Anyway, back to last week, some very brief highs and lows (LOTS to do in work over the next few days but I'm hoping to start on the TR at the end of this week before I forget bits!!).
HIGHS
Pixie dust - we had some amazing pixie dust in our hotel room, and also in connection with another hotel through some lovely communication with the concierge!
Weather - as already mentioned, we were vry lucky with the weather! Except for a cold snap and showers on the Friday morning, the rest of the week it was lovely.
Characters - Oh my word we saw SO many characters!! Ridiculous amounts, and our family team work on the Thursday morning in Studios to enable DD to meet as many as possible was hysterical! Especially poor old Nanny and Bampy sent to chase after random 'characters' that they didn't even know who they were. "Who's Remy??"...... lol
Queues - what queues?!
St Patricks Day - We arrived half way through the day so only managed to get DD's face painted (for free!) and she looked great. We missed the St Patricks day pre-parade (getting painted!) but N & B, and DH saw it. She then got loads of attention during the main parade due to her face! We also saw the Dreams pre-show and considering it was an add on just for a few days, it was great and really stood up against the wonder of dreams.
Cast Members - DD does pin trading, she's only 4, and it's all the fault of DH. But she's so sweet asking CMs if they want to trade, and every single one of them was lovely.
LOWS (These are NOT really lows!!)
Cocktails - now, don't get me wrong, the one I had was lovely, but wow...I had a hole in my purse after!!
Cafe Fantasia - gorgeous Mickey waffles, but they no longer do scones anywhere on the menu?!?!?! N was sooooo disappointed!! (She loves a scone!)
Honestly, I can't think of any real lows! lol Maybe writing the TR will highlight some, but right now.....oh, there's one:
REAL LOWS
Key Cards - our room was on the same floor as reception in the Sequoia Lodge (we'd requested this as B has had two hip replacements to walking is fine, but not stairs....) BUT we were right at the end of 3 long corridors. When DH then pops back during the day the key card just DOESN'T work - so it's a LONG old walk back to reception, with a LONG queue to then get it sorted. He was then assured that the other keycard (which I had) would still work. Guess what, that evening, it didn't! Luckily DD and I were only 5 minutes ahead of him (I was trying to get her back for bed while he was still shop browsing!!!
) so we just waited.
There, I feel more balanced.....!!! But honestly, I can't think of anything else!!
HAVE to do a proper TR now. Lets get this boring old work done and dusted first.....
