We got back at 11.30 on Thursday night!
Then had to be up at 6.30 on Friday morning to go to my postgraduate course day (couldn't miss it or I'd not 'pass') but have now had a lie in, sorted out the washing and caught up with some jobs so have dared to switch my computer on.

HIGHS:
So so so many- where to start?

the weather- lovely and sunny most of the time, but none of us got burned or TOO hot!

Dream Annual Passes!- thanks to previous poster and CarrieCat we enjoyed EMH (TBH the only way DD2 could have made it onto most of the fantasyland rides, the queues were too long the rest of the day!) never done EMH and loved every second. Plus DD1 enjoyed getting 20% off her souvenirs!:thumbsup2

The cast members who made my princesses (esp DD2 who insisted on dressing up every day) feel so special.....like little VIPs.

The Dream Castle Hotel- great staff, good facilities, lovely breakfast with no Qs, nicce little pool.

Experiencing Annettes in the evening- singing and dancing plus rollerskates delighted my overtired DDs (and me!)

The Blue Lagoon. We had a great time here! I had the best biggest salad ever (although yes, it was a bit dark) but the service was great the gormet cafe to die for and the fun of getting as many waves from passers by on POTC was not to be underestiomated!

Spending time with my DBF who coincidentally was there at the same time as us, and whom I normally ony see now once a year or so :sad2:
we enjoyed rides and meals togther! our kids played together! It was fab!:):):):)

Auberge de Cendrillion! DD2 was enchanted and made to feel SO Special! So glad we had asked for a table by the dancefloor though (thanks Adam) as DD2 got picked to Dance with Suzy and Perla! wish the kids meal was a bit more kid friendly though- as it was so pretty she didn't recognise it as food and wouldn't eat much of it! DD1 finished hers as well though!

Salon mickey! I felt special in here! we loved the friendly welcome and the complimentary snacks (which had to be breakfast on our last day as we had to chosse betewwn hotel bfast and EMH) all the CMs were friendly and the lovely big loos were very welcome!

LOWS:

Not making it to the Magical Celebration at 7pm at all during our stay as DD2 was too tired to stand in a large crowd and wait......

Not getting Minnies autograph as whenever we saw her we had to get to somewhere (eg the english stich show, a lunch reservation etc)

DD2 (age 3)repeatedly being barged out of the way in the scrums for characters by tennagers and grownups who, frankly should have known better! In the end I had to walk away a couple of times before my temper got the better of me.....

The ridiculous number of people there on Ascension Day! getting on ANY ride was impossible after 10am unless you wanted to wait 90 mins or more (not possible with a 3 yr old) the only time I had seen this many people crammed together like this was at Wembley for a U2 concert or Oxford street on the Saturday before Christmas! Got my ankled bruised so many times by poor buggy driving I can't tell you........

The unpacking once I got home!:rotfl:

Hope this helps anyone off soon! Trip report to follow soon (ish)

Lovely! You sound like you had a great time, and your dd's. Glad you enjoyed EMH - we use that time to do Fantasyland too.

Dream Castle sounds nice and we loved Salon Mickey, makes you feel special!

Hope you get time to do a tr - would love to see your photos :goodvibes

Welcome back. Looking forward to reading your trip report. Do you happen to know the sorts of lengths of the queues for Snow White / pinocchio / small world / pirates on Thursday pm. We spent Thursday in the studios and had a really successful day and just wanted to compare the crowds in the main park on Friday to what they were like on Thursday:goodvibes

Welcome back! :goodvibes

Glad to hear that you & your princesses had a magical trip! :wizard:

We were there for Ascension Day last year, so I know what you mean about the crowds! :scared1:

Look forward to your TR! :thumbsup2

Hi, we were going to go on Pirates sometime between 1 and 2 pm but couldn't even get in the entrance! Big Thunder mountain had just broken down and the area was shoulder to shoulder so we went to look at Pirates! Couldn't get close enough to see the wait time so decided it must be too long. From there we walked into fantasyland which was even busier - it was just a seeething mass of people. Peter Pan was posted as 75 minutes (I think) and although we had intended to go on Small world we decided the crowds in the whole area were too much for us so we decided to go to the Hotel pool instead nowing that this was the one night of our stay when the park was open late.
When we came back after dinner at about 8pm the crowds were much lighter. Big Thunder was still posted as 65 minutes (fortunately we had our unused FPs), pirates was almost a walk on and small world wait time was 5 minutes. Didn't look at Pinochio as we had done that earlier but noticed Peter Pan was posted as only about 15 minutes less than it had been earlier.
Hope this helps a little
Ann
