Actually we got back late on 23rd (nearly didn't get back as they cancelled our flight home. More of this scary moment later!) but this is the first chance I've had to get on here. The trip was AMAAAAAAAAZING and 'just like we dreamed it' (corny, sorry). We were both knocked-out with Christmas in the Park and had a fantastic time. My daughter even went on TOT (see other thread). We took 4,321,638 photos (give or take) and I will one day get around to doing a trip report and putting some of them up.

I'm glad to hear that you had a good time too! We went in 2002 during their 10 year anniversary and we LOVED it! We will definately be going again.

Glad you had a good time.

Im thinking of going right on top of Chrstmas too next year..

Was it really busy??
and how did you manage to get everything orhanised back home for Christmas shppping etc..

:santa:

Hi Melody I was there at the same time and yes it was very busy! but if you plan your trip really well (keep a schedule of all shows and parades and make good use of fastpasses!) you can still fit plenty in.:thumbsup2

(see my trip report entitled dismas!)

With regards to getting ready for xmas as well as having the holiday.....
You just have to pretend Christmas is a week early so everything is done in time!!!

I went on holiday on the 21st Dec and we weren't due to get back till late 24th december:eek: but I bought all my food on the 19th/20th and bought lots of frozen stuff (pultry included) and it all worked out fine!!!
chicken was out and defrosting xmas eve eve!:rotfl:

welcome back, I'm looking forward to the pics!!! DLP is so magical during christmas...

Did you really take that many pics or are you messing? How it that possible?!!! Welcome home, looking foward to the report. :thumbsup2

The photo count was a bit of an exag.;)

I will admit that planning for Christmas was a bit more rushed than normal, but as my husband and son stayed at home I got them to do the last miunte bits of shopping for fresh food. Like Orion33 I bought in advance and froze what I could.
The only thing that worried me was the cancelled flight, as it was the last flight out on the 23rd and I had visions of having to stay the night in the airport. I particularly wanted to be at home the morning of Christmas Eve as it's my husband's birthday. Fortunately the nice check-in clerk, who was going to put us on standby for the few seats left on the earlier flight, looked at my daughter (tears streaming down her face as she thought we were going to miss Christmas!), made a quick call and said "okay, you are on the flight" :yay:
The Parks were NOT as busy as I imagined for 20th & 21st, and even 22nd, but when we left on Sunday 23rd I would say it was getting scarily full. However, with EMH we got an AMAZING amount of rides in - far far more than we thought we would.
