We're at HH

(I've never posted while actually at a DVC resort!! You can teach an old dog new tricks )

We arrived this afternoon about 2:30pm. We had spent the morning/early afternoon in Savannah on our way. The CM offered us several villas - some were ready, some were not. We choose to wait a bit and got a marsh view on the second story - Bldg 27. So far we have really enjoyed the location. The villa is in great shape. Had to get one light bulb changed, bit that's it!

It is a bit on the chilly side - afternoon temp was about 70 and night time is lower 50's. I wish I had brought more warm wear. I'm relaxing on my porch tomorrow while Dh plays golf.

If anyone wants to know anything, ask away. I'll be happy to reply.

What room type are you in? I have reservations for a one bedroom the week after Memorial Day and considering a 2 bedroom.

lvswl: The whole is resort is now wired wifi. Pretty cool!

ranthony: I haven't tried the water yet. They are heated and yesterday there were kids in them. But they are probably a lot braver than I am

meishanoel: we have a two bedroom, but there are only the two of us. We had banked points that had to be used and we had to cancel a hh trip in early September because of Hurricane Gustav, so when I called the two bedroom was what was available, so we took it. We had hoped to invite another couple to come with us, but they were not able to be here. And it was less points for the two bedroom in Nov. than an one bedroom in Sept. It is really nice and big and would be wonderful for a family with a couple of kids who need there own space.

dallastxcpa: Yep, I've been trying to finish a book I started at home. The weather is a bit chilly but that's why there are blankets! Reading and rocking

You won't really need the router since HH has wireless service in the villas - not the wired broadband as at the WDW resorts.

Today was another great day. Blue skies, temps in the high 60's. I didn't do much. I shopped across the marina at the Christmas store. And went to the mercantile. Met a disboarder there

dh had a good round of golf. He had minor knee surgery 12 days ago. Thankfully, it didn't effect his game!!

We grilled shish-ke-bobs on the grill by bldg 31. They were yummy.

I'm trying to savor every minute.

we just left HHI and stayed in villa 1813 - center of the resort, convenient to the luggage cart area, a short walk to main lodge and to pool, community hall, mercantile and tide me over. we have stayed in this villa on other visits and really enjoy the marsh view from the porch. the villa is also close to a hammock, barbeque area with picnic table and a horseshoe pit. during our stay Hargray came to the villa and wired it for the WiFi service - worked great after their tinkering. there is also a one BR in bldg #18.
