didn't set foot on WDW property.
It was a last-minute trip. We need our points for HH in May and Xmas.
We stayed at Wyndham, and had the "Walgreens view." The only thing good about it was the appreciation it gave me for the value of DVC!! There was no comparison really. The word "dump" comes to mind.
WEather was great. Not hot. We went to IOA one day. Citywalk a couple of times. Both VERY IMPRESSIVE. Every bit as clean and quality as WDW. But nowhere near the variety. Universal will serve to keep Disney on its toes, and I think that's good. I don't think it's anywhere near the destination resort overall. Didn't see the hotels. We also went to Cocoa Beach and Millenium Mall. A very good time overall.
I asked my boys which ONE ride in Orlando they would choose: Hulk.
Which ONE park: typhoon lagoon (a surprise to me).
Which resort: hands down Disney (over Universal).
