Went to get copy of birth cert today ...

and they almost didn't give it to me! I didn't have a copy of my marriage license so I couldn't prove my name change. BUT, they were willing to give me a copy of my brother's because I could prove we had the same parents!! Luckily, I was getting another copy of my DD's & the registar compare the info on that to the info on mine Now I'm wondering if I should get a copy of marriage license to take with me since DH won't be with us. Do I need any other docs for DD (age 6)?

I don't think you need one. You will have your Birth Certi. and Drivers License.
Your daughter will have her Birth Certi.
If you and your daughter have the same last name it will be on BC and on your DL.

You won't need the marriage certificate. You driver's license and birth certificate will match up by birthdates. You child only needs the birth certificate.
