Has anyone tried any of the Wen haircare products. I know it's not shampoo, rather it's 5 products in one. My concern is my hair will be greasy. Let me know gals!

I tried 3 different Wen formulas and combinations of all of them. It just never worked for me. I tried using more, using less, and my hair never looked or felt good with it. I'm prepared to be told by Wen fans that it was my fault and I didn't use it correctly, since that is their usual mantra.

If I need to try for weeks on end to find the perfect amount and formula for me, it's just not worth it.

I have healthy hair to begin with. Women with dry and damaged hair seem to like it more.

I totally agree. It just never did anything for me...escpecially at that price! You will get people that either love it or hate it.

I just thought it was ridiculous the amounts they told you to use...for something you wash out. I just felt like I was being rooked the whole time, so I would need a new bottle faster...and it's already not that cheap. I saw NO difference in my hair at all, EXCEPT for all the small, lumpy pimples I got around my hairline from the greasy heavy globs of stuff. Gross. I had them for almost 8 weeks, until I finally gave up on Wen and then they went away within a week on a new shampoo.

Oh and my hair is both dry and damaged, so there you go.

So I would not recommend. Hope that helps.

I have never been able to bring myself to try it. I can't understand why they chose that name for it. Surely they didn't know that definition of the word: Wen - a benign encysted tumor of the skin, esp. on the scalp, containing sebaceous matter; a sebaceous cyst. :rotfl:

However, I do have a friend who reviews beauty products for a blog and she did use it for a while after hearing good things about it. She complained the whole time about how greasy her hair felt and she finally gave up on it.

I tried it a few times and my hair felt heavy and greasy. did not improve the condition of my hair at all.

The name was chose because of the "new" technology of it being a cleanser - not a shampoo. Look at the word new backwards ;) Can't remember how I know that :rolleyes1

I have used WEN for about 3-4 years now. It is the best thing for my hair. I have shoulder length (just got 7 inches cut off) pretty thick hair. I wish my hair was straight but it is not. It is not curly either - just kind of in between. So, I use a flat iron on it everday. (We also have a ton of Humidity in MN). I used to have to go in and get my ends trimmed every 4-6 weeks because of the damage from the flat iron. Now I go in about every 4-6 months. (I just trim my bangs myself). I don't get the damage and WEN really helps with the Humidity problems. You do have to use alot and it is costly but worth it to me. I like having an all in one and I can easily comb through my hair once I'm out of the shower. My DD9 loves the stuff too and always wants to take a shower in my shower because the WEN is in there. I am on an auto delivery plan with QVC so I am never out. I especially like the Tea Tree and Fig for my hair.

Now that's funny!

I think I am going to get a bottle from ebay and see how it goes. If I don't like it then I am not out too much money.

I got a bottle last Friday...QVC's Todays Special Value. I like it! I tried it on Friday night so if I had problems I didn't have to spend even more time on Saturday with it (it does take a little longer to use than a normal shampoo). I have noticed my hair has more body and feels clean. I used to have to use velcro rollers and flat iron to get body on top and "curl" the ends under slightly. I now can just dry and go. I use about half the number of pumps it tells me to. I got the Sweet Almond and have highlighted hair. My hair is between chin and shoulder length. I have used every day and have not had anytime when my hair feels greasy and it does not look greasy at the end of the day. It feels very soft and I was very skeptical but bought knowing I could return to QVC if I didn't like.
