This *is*, in fact, budget related...

Having recently reacquainted myself with SwagBucks, I came across this interesting offer...

If I order my "introductory" package of WEN hair care ($29.99 + free S&H), I will receive 3,500 SB (equivalent to $35 in Target gift cards) so it would seem like a money maker:thumbsup2...

...but the catch is that you have to CALL to cancel your subscription or your credit card will be charged another $29.99 + $3.99 every 4 weeks and you receive an extra-large supply every 12 weeks.

It is a product I am genuinely interested in, but I am concerned with how difficult it may be to cancel the subscription since I would have to call and actually talk to someone. Has anyone here tried this? Opinions wantedpopcorn::

If there is a Sephora near you, you can ask them for a sample! Try it before you buy it. I personally like it, it makes my hair soft and you only need to use it once a week and other shampoos throughout.

Heard it is very hard to get in touch with them to cancel. My friends daughters gave me some to try because she had boxes of the stuff because she never cancelled. I'm afraid to try it after reading some reviews.

i was able to find WEN at my local as seen on tv store.
i tried it and did not care for it.

personally i don't recommend ordering things that are then automatically sent because i've seen too many stories where people cancel but still receive the product and are still being charged and then they have to pay to ship the product back and have to make numerous phone calls to get the charges reversed.

I LOVE WEN!

But do not buy it through the tv offer. Buy it through a certified place like QVC or sephora.

A coworker raved about how much she liked it and everyone talked about the cost. I don't mind spending extra on a product that I'm really happy with so I checked out the website. There is an entire page contract that you have to agree to in order to buy it.

What a racket.:sad2: There was more fine print than when I bought a new car. Sheesh, it's only shampoo!

If it was such a wonderful product, people wouldn't have to be roped into buying it as a repeat customer. It would sell repeatedly on its own merit.

I'm booked on my 18th Disney Cruise. Yes it's more expensive than other cruise lines but for so many reasons, I don't mind paying more for the Disney experience.:cloud9: :sail: I happily sail with them again and again as a returning customer by my own free will, not because I'm stuck in some scam that I can't escape. This is how a business survives, not by trickery.

If you have fine hair, then WEN is not the right product for you. It left my hair a greasy mess. I think for someone with curly or coarse hair, it could be a great product. Sally Beauty has their brand equivalent that is much less expensive and virtually the same, if you want to give it a try.

A friend gave me some to try & I loved how it smelled, but my hair looked greasy. It wasn't like just waking up greasy, but it looked like I needed to shower. Lol

I've signed up for offers like this (not wen) many times. I just made sure I had the cancellation #,confirmation #,notes to self to cancel. It's not that hard to do. Stick to more reputable companies. I'm guessing wen is. Learn to read fine print and you'll have confidence to do this anytime you please.
It might be a little hard to cancel but maybe not. Some companies actually let you cancel online.
I would order it but my hair is naturally thin and greasy so I'll pass. JK. No I'm not.

I, too, had considered this offer, until my intuition kicked in a moment after reading the fine print, and then searched further re: others' experience with the product, itself; the purchase agreement; and later issues with cancellation of the automatic deliveries/charges. No thanks! 3500 Swagbucks are not worth it! As one poster here, said - and I paraphrase: 'It's just shampoo/hair care product'...

And, because you did mention at the outset that this is "budget related" - If it's the Swagbucks you're mostly interested in, I'd vote against. If it's actual hair care, there are a number of equally-if-not-better products ["cleansing conditioners"] available at your local pharmacy, or through any of those major beauty supply wholesaler/retailers, at far-less cost, and without the related aggravation. And I, myself, use them with good result...And most of those major beauty supply wholesaler/retailers have trial sizes available for under $2, just to be sure.

Good luck!

I personally love Wen. My sister, my husband and I all use it. However, DO NOT buy it from the TV subscription. Buy it from QVC or from Chaz's website himself not wen . com. The quality of the product on the Q and from the creator is different from the quality sold on the infomercial. Sephora and the informercial have different ingredients than the one sold on QVC/chazdean . com.

I have a friend with very dry, curly hair. She loves it. I have fine, rather oily, straight hair. I hate it. So take that into consideration when deciding to get it.

I have used only Wen since 2008. It changed my hair. I have fine hair & the last 3 years wore my hair longer than when I was a teenager. (I just got it cut to shoulder length) I cannot say enough good about it. I used every high end shampoo, conditioner & treatment & nothing compared to how Wen worked. You do have to follow directions & it is pricier than a lot of other products but the results are pretty incredible. I buy from QVC only & have only returned one product in 7 years.

Thank you all for the input. I think I am going to pass on it. I have fairly limp hair, one daughter has super thick but straight hair and my other daughter has thick, coarse hair. It's hard to find one product that works for all of us so we have a shower full of shampoo/conditioner bottles. I thought this might work, but I think I will skip it for now.

I have very fine, slightly wavy hair but lots and lots of it. Wen makes it feel like liquid silk although it gets greasy if every third or fourth shampoo isn't with something more clarifying.

I love the stuff but hated all of the shenanigans with the club and the online ordering. It took far too long to get it properly cancelled so now I ocassionally get a bottle from sephora but that is about it.

Good information thanks for it! My hair is straight and wouldn't work with this, but my daughter has waist length curls and very dry hair, so sounds perfect for her! I'll try and find some at Sephora. Thanks again! :thumbsup2

I checked out the Wen site and was also turned off by the auto delivery. It is also available on Amazon which is where I bought my bottle. It does leave your hair very smooth and silky.

I just have to share my two cents!

I had Wen. I really liked it. My coworker lived it on her super fine, mega curly hair too. They do have different mixes for different hair types. Don't just go by the scent you prefer! Call the QVC people (they were my supplier) and describe thir hair. You will each need a different type.

BUT money became tight and I sought other options. Now I go to Target or Wal Mart and purchase some co-wash from Pantene. It's in a brownish colored bottle. I believe that Pantene only has one formula so I'm not sure it's good for all hair types, BUT I LOVE THIS PRODUCT! It works great on my fine hair and my DD6's hair. It costs $5 or $6. And if you can't find it in your store, look on either odd those stores website and ship it in at no additional cost. THIS IS MY MUST-HAVE PRODUCT!

Remember these type of products do not lather. After I rinse and before I'm finished in the shower, I use a TINY bit as a leave in conditioner.

And when I phoned to cancel my Wen auto ship (it included a paste etc that I didn't use), the rep tried to talk me into keeping it. I stuck to my guns...I wouldn't say they were mob type attend arms though. Just doing what they are told.

Good luck!

I used it and liked it. Like pp I did not purchase from the recurring purchase. When I bought my second bottle, I stopped using because it left my curly hair looking greasy. Now I use devacurl shampoo and conditioner- same concept of a conditioning moisturizing shampoo.

I love WEN. I have used it for about 7 months. I order mine off of QVC. My color last longer, my hilights too. Matter of fact I have NOT had hilights put in my hair since last fall. I ony get color touch ups at the salon. I even took WEN with me to Disney over Spring break.
