Hi all,
In case you don't remember my post from a couple of weeks ago, tomorrow I'm being given a medal> last summer we pulled a little 18 month old out of the bottom of the family pool he was dead.Within minutes we got his rate rate and breathing back and 15 days later he walked out of the hospital, fine.I've been ordered along with 3 others guys from my crew that day to be at fire dept head quaters in downtown brooklyn to be presentied with medals for this job.I was talking with a friend whi is also the chief last night and apperantly there will be a ton of media there.I feel like its my first day of high school or something,I got several medals before this one including 2 medals for heroic actions takes at the world trade center on sept 11( a long story)but i was never this nervous before. To be honest i'm feel scared stiff already.I'm not sure why i'm so nervous.I'm bringing my camera with me so soon as i can i will try to post a few pics of this event.

How great!! Congratulations!!!

Sorry you are nervous....but it is a big day for you.

As the owner of a pool and the parent of 2 children - your story brought a tear to my eye. So on behalf of all parents - THANK YOU!!!! YOU ARE AWESOME!!!

Congratulations!!! It’s perfectly normal to be nervous when you have to get in front of a big group of people. Just remember, they are all inspired by you!

Congratulations on your medal. You deserve it. :cheer2:

Thank you for all that you do.

As a Mom of a toddler that tug at my heart. I am happy to hear the child made it.

Maybe CNN and MSNBC will pick it up and then we can get to see you get your medal too. Let us know if you spot any cable channels. And, post pictures.

Very cool! You must be very proud!! Heck, I am proud of you and I don't even know you :-))

Congratulations!!! I'm so glad that the ceremony went well and that you got to see the little guy again!

I showed A.J. your picture and we're going to print it to put with the patches that you sent you him last year!!!!

For everyone, thank you. You deserve the medal, for sure. We have good friends that lost their 3 year old DS in a pool, so it really hits home. Grateful for a life saved.

Thank you for posting the update. It is amazing that we have such dedicated men (and women) who serve our cities every day. You did a fantastic job savig that little boy. I am so glad you received some recognition for your efforts.

Keep up the good work and thank you for keeping us posted.

Congrats! And good for you!

It's funny, you'll run into a burning building without a second thought, but standing up in front of people makes you nervous! Isn't it strange the things we're affraid of? :)

Here here, for MrFDNY! Very cool! Congratulations on doing such a great thing to begin with, and then for the long-overdue recognition. It's great to see pictures of the complete family (because of your actions) at that ceremony.

When I think of the FDNY, I can't help but be overwhelmed with memories of 9-11 and the utter devastation and loss the FDNY suffered that day. It's nice to see a story about the FDNY with a happier outcome. :)

Thank you for the update.

Congratulations again. :cheer2:

Nice to put a face to the name. :thumbsup2
