Well....this is Par for the Course

We leave in 5 days and Ds has come down with some kind of crud , he has a upset belly (mainly just hurting - no direaha or vomiting...yet) & a slight fever . I know its early & more than likely he will be over it by then, but, if me or my husband come down with it - we won't .
I have made him a Dr. apt. for tomorrow, (which I know there isn't anything they can do for a stomach virus, but, the girl who answered the phone thought he should be seen, in case its strep - which has also been going around his school ).
Please send some Disney Pixie Dust our way .

We're sharing some karma, I'm afraid. We leave Saturday morning.

DS4 complained of a sore throat last Saturday, and when I looked, I saw some big, swollen, pus covered tonsils. Took him right over to the doc for a strep test. The rapid and culture were negative, and silly me, I was relieved and thought crisis avoided. HA!

DS2 started a drippy nose on Monday. Yesterday, it was a faucet. Last night, it brought on a full-scale asthma attack, and neither of us slept at all. Today has been horrid with the coughing and crying, and he's just exhausted. His breathing is a little better, and his nose is less productive, so I'm hoping by bedtime his asthma meds will have worked well enough that we'll both get some sleep. I've already decided to keep him home from "school" tomorrow, regardless of his condition in the morning. All I need is some kid with stomach flu barfing on him.

And DS4 has been coughing all day. He says nothing hurts, though. If I didn't think he's be all kinds of bent out of shape, I'd keep him home, too, lol.

Get well both of you.Unfortuantely, there is a pretty virulent stomach bug out and about right now, plus the usual colds( have one myself right now)..get plenty of rest

Oh, I am so sorry and hope he makes a rapid, full recovery. I know it's like trying to hold back the tide, but I am doing the pre-trip-run-from-a-coughing-person routine. I must look like and idiot but I really don't want anyone to get sick before we leave. I told my husband to let his coworkers know that if they are sick and come near them that I will hunt them down. Of course, all efforts could be destroyed while on the plane. So, here's hoping for you and everyone else who is traveling soon!

Thanks everyone - he did fine overnight so keeping my fingers cross its just a 'touch' of something small & his body is fighting it
