I don't know why I've got myself so worked up, but I guess between reading some different websites about the CoS lawsuits and the hostility of that customer service agent, I felt like the whole experience was going to be negative.
PirateParrot, I only would have gotten the lower fare if I'd booked the tickets at the same time.
What's worse, that's only one leg of the trip. On our next payday, I still have to buy another ticket for our trip back!
I told DH that I felt bad about it, but that we were really paying for my peace of mind. He didn't mind at all, which made me feel a good bit better.
