Well she is on her way to Italy

Hi,

Well my princess/girlfriend left for the airport 45 minutes ago and in less than 4 hours, she will be on her way to Italy for 2 weeks.

While I'm very excited for her, and I know not only is this a great opportunity, but she will also have a great time, I'm a little sad. I won't beable to see her again until she gets back on 6/15 and since we started dating we have either seen each other or talked on a daily basis.

I know it's only for 16 days and that the time will fly by fast, but it doesn't make missing her go away.

I guess I will just have to find stuff to keep me busy while she is gone, like plan our Wisconsin Dells trip for Labor Day weekend and things like that.

My DS18 just got back from Italy. I'll tell you exactly what to say when she calls you, are you ready? Say "ciao bella". She'll love it. It means hello or goodbye beautiful. I know its hard for you, but what an amazing opportunity for her. My son absolutely fell in love with this country and wants to go back. She'll be home before you know it.

Glad to hear things are still going so well. I remember your post about the first date. She will love Italy and be able to tell you all about it. Maybe it will be a special trip you both take soon. The time will fly over the next two weeks. Just think of how much fun you will have catching up with each other when she gets home..

I remember my first trip away from my dh (our story is similar to yours) I went to visit my family overseas for 4 weeks ... wow, when i returned we were dating then, I didnt think I could have missed anyone that much but he was waiting at the airport with flowers and a big hug - it felt even better. Time might not fly by but its so worth it when she is back.

Thanks again I think (WonderfulDreamer2). She didn't bring her cell phone because she didn't get overseas service for it, but she said she would try and e-mail if possible and would send me a post card as well.

She is going to be with her family the whole time, so I'm not to worried about her doing something on the side behind my back. She isn't that type of person.

Sad observance today. An American tour group walked past me. Grown woman counting a wad of fresh $20's as she strolled down the sidewalk. I looked at her and said "I'd put that away if I were you." These are the ones who come home with horror stories of theft and never want to return to Italy.

One more thing. Not all Italian guys are hot. Most of them are just average looking and very short. (at least around here).
