I actually booked a Ding!! I got really lucky with the flight to MCO (total fare per person 49.30!). The problem is...They didn't have the return flight for less than $172.00. Well, I only booked the one way.
We have only ever flown in 2000 the first time we went to WDW, so I am really backward when it comes to booking flights and navigating airports, ect. I am nervous that I should have only booked if they had the return flight Ding too! Is that the case? Should I be concerned that I wont get a return Ding for May? I'm actually a little queasy now LOL

From what I've seen, if they don't offer a Ding fare for a certain date, they also won't offer the lowest price otherwise available like the internet one-way special. I don't think you're likely to find a lower price.

But wait... If your return flight was just not included in the dates of the Ding special (i.e. your flight there is in April which was included in the Ding, but your return flight is in May and wasn't included), then I think you do still have a chance for a Ding special. If it were me, though, I'd still go ahead and book the lowest available fare and just rebook and have a credit if a Ding special does pop up.

I booked Philly to MCO for 4 people at 49.30 each one way for May 4th. The total for the way down was 197.00.

The return flight offered for our return of May 14th was 172.00 each! I thought that sounded crazy! I would have spent 230 dollars each person RT then. Am I being unreasonable to look for a Ding for the return flight of similar price? Did I make a mistake here? Has anyone else ever booked their trip this way? One way each way with two different dings? Does that make more sense?

if all of the lowest fares are sold out you will not get a ding for that date. did you check one day beyond or before your return date? the dings will only apply if there are cheap seats available on that flight. Once those seats are sold, chances are slim that you will find a ding value seat on that day.
