Well my free dining trip isn't as cheap as I thought it was going to be . . .

And I'm really happy about it! :cool1: We decided b/c it was such a great deal, why not bring my dh's parents for their Christmas/Birthday/mother's day/father's day/anniversary present this year? The one and only time they went was 22 years ago when my dh was in 8th grade and they wouldn't be going again except for this trip. And my IL's are wonderful people and truly deserve it. So instead of 2 adults, it will be four. What a blast!

Anyone else give a WDW trip to someone else? What a great pixie dust feeling it is!

:wizard:

What a nice gift you are giving your In-laws. You must be the favorite daughter-in-law. I hope you have a great vacation.

Is free dining an offer again? We really aren't planning a trip, so I haven't been really researching or checking those boards. If it is, we might consider it. Is the offer still good?

:thumbsup2 We are doing the same thing for my Mom! She's been through a really rough time this past year, my step-dad walked out on her two days before Thanksgiving-no explanation, no warning. She's been pretty devastated, so we thought she deserves to get away and enjoy herself, so what better place than WDW?!! :sunny:

yep!! go look under the resorts section - codes. It's from 8/13 to 9/30 and you must book it by 6/5.

I wasn't looking to book a disney vacation this year but hey who could pass up free dining!! I decided that I would take my parents with me and my two kiddos!! I can't wait for august to get here and share in the joy with my parents!!! :cool1: :cool1:

This isn't about the free dining. However, we're taking my 74 year old dad in June. However, he doesn't know it yet!!! The Easter Bunny is going to leave a big surprise in his and our dd's baskets this year!! Not sure how he is going to react, but doesn't matter because the plane ticket is bought and he's rooming with DH. It's for his 75th's birthday and I want him to make these memories with the girls. :goodvibes

:thumbsup2 :woohoo:

Also not getting the free dining (DVC stay), but we're taking my mother with us this year and paying for almost everything - the last time she was there was for a day trip in 1976! I can't wait for her to experience it with my kids, who are going for the first time! Wonderful pixie dust, you're correct!

I called my mil up the other day and asked her if she wanted to go to WDW with me and my 2 dd's. She said no. She told me I could still go with my 2 dd's. I offered to pay for everything to, with my husbands blessings.

My mom refuses to go, says she can't walk-I told her about the scooters and she made another excuse. If we want to vacation with my parents we have to go to their cottage in the summer in which we do, but there are other places to see and experience in this world.

I hope I never refuse to vacation with my grandkids.

Very nice of you to do that!!!! :thumbsup2

I'm not paying for thier full trip because they just won't let me. But I talked my Mom and Aunt into going along for the free dining. Then I told them I'd upgrade us from Pop Century to Wilderness Lodge and that because I was changing things and wanted to stay at Wilderness Lodge that they were only allowed to pay the Pop Century price. So 7 nights at Wilderness Lodge with dining and tickets is going to cost them $600.00. :) Now if I can only keep hidden the Wilderness Lodge bill, they think it's only costing me slightly more...

I'm doing the Happy Dance!!! I just booked our first family vacation to Disney World for my DD's 5th birthday in September!!! I am so excited, I got the free dining also!!!!
I can not wait for my child to experience the magic, even more I can not wait to see Disney World through my child's eyes. I am not normally a sap, but I think I might cry!
I have a question though... my DD is always saying about characters, they are not real mom, they are JUST characters. Is she going to believe in the magic?
