Well, maybe we have a chance for free dining in winter, now

I'm hyped Disney is offering free dining once again for early fall.

Obviously, it's a waiting game, but at least there's hope now.

I am feeling the same way! November/December (excluding Holiday weeks) are pretty slow, too. Incentive!!! If I were WDW, I'd just send Pin codes to everyone right now for those dates. Okay, so I'm just wishing that is what they'd do :rotfl:

My Nov. 24-30th would be much nicer with free dining for our group of 4 adults and 2 kids!!!

AGREE !! playing the waiting game for December :)

Whether or not we get FD is going to depend on where we choose to stay !

I'm playing the waiting game too. It kills me to see free dining coming out for the aug/sept and have to just sit and wait.

I'm a bit concerned that they will hold off and see how the Fantasyland Expansion brings people in before releasing any deals.

We are right there with ya! Hoping for FD in December, but heck I'd take a 30% room only in a pinch. ;)

I'm in the same boat with the rest of you.

Hoping to go one of the first 3 weeks after Thanksgiving (the last 2 years, I noticed FD was the first and third week after Thanksgiving, wonder if it will be the same this year).

Originally, we were hoping for a really good room discount becuase we're thinking about the Poly. But then, we decided to invite my parents. This puts us at 4 Disney adults and 1 Disney child. Assuming we all stay in the same room, free dining (which we'd upgrade to deluxe) will likely be the better deal (a 40% room discount would be close, but I see that as less likely than FD).

It would be great if they'd announce the FD dates (as well as all other possible discounts) before the 180 day ADR mark (it would be nice for booking flights as well). If this doesn't happen, I'll probably just make a 2 week reservation, make ADRs for both weeks once the 180 day window hits, and then, once FD is announced, cancel dates (and ADRs) as necessary.

The second week after might be the Pop Warner football week. No need to offer discounts when that many people are already going to be going.

I think there is a good shot discounts will come.

Fuel prices are expected to go through the roof. This will cause airfare to go up and it will be too expensive for people to drive. Add to that the already high cost of a disney vacation at full price and many people will forgo a vacation for the time being and wait for prices to drop again. Less people booking = discounts :). Unfortunatly, for me, I'm going during the holiday week so not expecting any type of dicount.

good luck to you all
