...and I got my 10 year Visa!!! :yay: :cheer2: :yay: :cheer2: :yay:

I feel so relieved, feels like a massive weight has been lifted off my back! Now I can get the holiday planning back on track! :)

Thinking about posting a trip report so anyone who is going through the visa application process can get an idea of what its like at the embassy.

Anyway, just wanted to say thanks to those who wished me good luck! :thanks:

congratulations, im glad it went well, ive sent u a PM askign some bits about it just asking a few q's

I think it would be a great idea if you could do a trippie Simon, I am sure lots of people would like to know in advance what to expect. My borther in law had to go a few years agom and I know he would have appreciated some insight first

Great News :yay:

I think that a report on what to expect is a fabulous idea as we are thinking of getting visa's. One wee query though - will it make it quicker through immigration when you land?

May I ask a question about the visa - sorry if it's a really stupid question! But why do you need a visa to go to the USA? I thought we could enter the states without one if it's just for a holiday?

Congrats =) x might see you out there then hehe x

It should take just as long as everyone elase, maybe just a couple more questions like what did you get arrested for. You queue up in the same place as everyone else (I think!).

I was arrested for DD in 2004, making me illegible (according to the US Embassy website!) to travel on the VWP. I proberbly could have got away with just using the VWP but I really didn't want to be worrying all the way on a 9 hour flight thinking will I get in or not! :scared:
