Well im back from the Embassy...

...and I got my 10 year Visa!!!

I feel so relieved, feels like a massive weight has been lifted off my back! Now I can get the holiday planning back on track!

Thinking about posting a trip report so anyone who is going through the visa application process can get an idea of what its like at the embassy.

Anyway, just wanted to say thanks to those who wished me good luck!

I think that a report on what to expect is a fabulous idea as we are thinking of getting visa's. One wee query though - will it make it quicker through immigration when you land?

It should take just as long as everyone elase, maybe just a couple more questions like what did you get arrested for. You queue up in the same place as everyone else (I think!).

I was arrested for DD in 2004, making me illegible (according to the US Embassy website!) to travel on the VWP. I proberbly could have got away with just using the VWP but I really didn't want to be worrying all the way on a 9 hour flight thinking will I get in or not!
