With all this free dining going on, I may not want to fight the crowds every meal. I do have ADRs for certain TS meals, but one night I might just like to stay in and have a little meal I whip up myself. I have a few quick, easy empty-nester meals I can make in no time flat. That little kitchen is osunding better all the time!!!

What type of recipes? We're going in a couple weeks and I'd like to make something that would be good to reheat throughout the week?

I'll have to think about exactly which would be best. I have a great little chicken recipe that takes 20 minutes and one pan. I also make a shrimp and pasta supper that is quick and requires few utensils. Also, wouldn't some pasta salad be nice to have in the fridge? You could definitely take some of that out a little at a time and it would be cool and refreshing. Since I'm in the villa I may even make a quick breakfast a time or two. I'm not big on cooking on vacation, but I also hate fighting crowds to eat. Sometimes I like to eat in my p.j.s

the kitchen is like what you have at work - unless you are in a studio.

so the same type of meals if you want too.

I have a tendency to eat better - more fruit (love that Florida fruit) and vegetables (again from Florida) - don't get the imports from Ca - looks for the signs or read the labels...

you can easily snack on fruits.

for meals I like meat.... so steaks on grills, fish, chicken - once I even cooked a turkey at WDW.

do they have grills and do you have to supply charcoal, matches and lighter fluid?

Yes there are grills at the DVC resorts, they are located by the quiet pools. Yes you need to supply your own charcoal and lighter fluid.

Not sure this works everywhere, but when at VB we have often ordered carry-out from the restaurants. We generally call down to the restaurant, order 1 entree and 2 salads for us (which turns out to be plenty), and eat in our own privacy. And save some money. I wonder if you can use the ADRs for carry-out? :confused3

I think they do, but now that you ask, I can not remember seeing one at BCV. All the other DVC resorts I have seen barbeque grills near the quiet pools, but can't remember if BCVdoes or not, and we have stayed there at least 4 times. But when we are at BCV or YC/BC, we always use SAB, never the quiet pools. SAB is a BIG reason why we pick this resort complex to begin with.
I am sure someone else can answer whether BCV has a grill at the quiet pool.
