Well, I just ruined a Wedding

No one wants to take responsibilty for themselves or their actions. Her fault she did not shut off the ringer, but now it is your fault as you had the audacity to call your friend!!!....:sad2:

Then she was crazy enough to answer it, rather than just silence it with the ignore call button.

I would have no guilt it was not your fault, not your responsiblity to memorize everyones schedule.

Of course she should have turned off the phone.

She could have easily silenced the phone, rather than answering.

Totally her fault.

I'm sure in hindsight, the friend would choose to do things differently. People react... I'm sure she's kicking herself thinking, "duh, why did I even answer it?!"

Not sure that qualifies her as an idiot or stupid. She and the OP are friends, after all!

at least it wasn't during the part where the minister says "Is there anyone here who knows of just cause these two shouldn't be married?"

:rotfl2:What if her ringtone is "Super Freak" by Rick James?

She's a super freak, super freak
She's super freaky...Yowwww

or just

She's a very freaky girl
The kind you don't take home to mother
She will never let your spirits down
Once you get her off the streets
:lmao:

I actually hear that ringtone fairly often.

I'm sure the bride would appreciate that.

it's not your fault.

it is her fault.

if she hadn't taken her phone to the wedding ceremony, and also had it on, it wouldn't be an incident.

therefore, it is her fault.

that is my story and i'm sticking to it......

We are soon to be distant friends, I have just had enough of her pure ignorance.

And sadly she is upset it took her 5 rings to answer the phone (in a laugh she said to me, Oh You know how in those situations you never can find your phone) and in my head, I am thinking she needs to be upset with herself for not turning the phone off, but that thought will never ever EVER occur to her, and I know that now.

:-(

It was a loooooooooooooooooooooooong trip from hell.

Thank goodness I can laugh at it all :rotfl:

Laura, I am sure you will appreciate this story. My teenage sons were at Universal Studios doing their own thing while I was riding MIB. We were going to meet up later for lunch. So I called my oldest son's cellphone and they were at the Horror Makeup Show. Mark James stopped the scripted part of the show and looked right at my sons when the phone rang. My son decided not to answer since everyone was now staring at him. So Mark James told him to hand the phone to him on stage. Mark then answered the phone and talked to me for several minutes. He asked me how my day was going, what my score on MIB was, and where we were planning on eating. He recommended some food choices and then told my sons where and when to meet me. He continued to chit-chat for awhile before saying goodbye and handing the phone back to my son.

It was funny to me but embarrassing to my sons as the rest of the day we had people coming up to my son asking him if I was the "Mommy." Since then, he always turns off his phone before going into the Horror Make-up Show.

I always have my phone on vibrate while in the parks, just because of all the background noise, but now I really am glad I do that :thumbsup2

Of course depending on where the phone is in my pocket I might let out a little yelp if it goes off, and that has gotten me into trouble a few times :rolleyes1

If the wedding was in a church it was very disrespectful of her not to turn the phone off, if the wedding was anywhere else it still was disrespectful of all the people at the wedding for her not to turn it off. Seriously some people and their cell phones drive me CRAZY!!!:confused::sad2:

Laura, doll. I am on your side. She sounds like she's heading to Crazytown.

Totally not your fault.

What if her ringtone was: "If you want to be happy for the rest of your life never make a pretty woman your wife. So for my personal point of view get an ugly girl to marry you......":rotfl:
I actually love that song!!

:lmao::rotfl::happytv:I LOVE that show!!! once, when he staggered on the stage, SPOILER ALERT.....

"bleeding, dying," he reached out to me for help. (I was picked! yea!) and then he asked for a kiss. so I did! I guess that doesn't happen often, cause then he said "now how about how the French do it?" (usualy the girl doesn't help, and he later in the show keeps splattering her with fake blood, but I didn't know that at the time).

anyhow, I can't believe how self-important people are with their cell phones. I wait tables, and have often had people tell me they're ready to order, then their phone rings,.. they take the call! and expect me to stand there, halfway through the table's order, and wait until they are done with their call! while I am very busy. or people in a checkout line, in the middle of a transaction, making the checkout person (and everyone else in line) wait while "can't you see? I'm on the phone!?" when I tended bar, I and say, 3 other people were in a conversation. one person's phone rings. she answers it right there, in the middle of a conversation..... then, as the rest of us continue the conversation, shoots us dirty looks for NOT stopping talking until she is done., again "can't you see I'm on the phone?" (the rest of us just kept talking louder, she eventually took her phone and walked off into the hallway).

totally not your fault - she never should have answered it, she could have just put it on silient right away.

I actually called my father during a funeral burial as they were lowering the casket in the ground. He answered "i can't talk -goodbye" and hung up. I had no idea he was at a funeral for a collegue.

He felt like a heel and apologized to them and to me for not turning off his phone.

Not your fault - try to forget about it.

So her fault. Bad enough that she didn't turn off her phone. (Our church has actually had to add to the usual welcome before Mass to turn off phones - sad people need to be reminded EVERY week).

But, even if she just forgot - WHY ON EARTH DID SHE ANSWER AND BOTHER SCOLDING YOU INSTEAD OF TURNING IT OFF AS SOON AS SHE FOUND IT????

Double her fault!

Her faught! Even if she forgot she should have just turned the ringer off and not answered it and talked to you to make it worse....
