Dinner was a total bust tonight. I was making tacos and rice. I had shreded lettuce at home so I did not buy any at the store only to realize when I was setting the table the lettuce went bad. I went to get the sour cream out only to realize it must have gotten dropped or something because the bottom was cracked and the liquid from it leaked all over the fridge. I bought rice at the store that only takes 60 seconds to microwave and it must have been bad because it was hard as a rock (I've made it a ton so it wasn't operator error!). And my son dropped the pack of cheese on the floor which totally was my fault for not making sure the pack was closed.
Pizza, anyone?

:lmao: (I'm laughing WITH you, not at you!)

Think we've all experienced that kinda day...

I could hijack this thread re: pizza & Papa John's & Papa's Points = free pizza and the 3 phone calls I had to make...but I won't. :rotfl:

Awwww, I've had those days. :lmao:

A few weeks ago, I made fish tacos. I found this fabulous recipe and multiple components of the dish called for fresh cilantro, which I love. I made pico de gallo, marinade for the fish, and a tequila lime aioli with cilantro as well. I kept tasting stuff and thinking, "This doesn't taste right" before I finally looked at my bunch of cilantro and realized it wasn't cilantro at all. It was fresh parsley!!! And I had no cilantro. I wanted to lay down on the floor and cry like Julie did in Julia and Julia. :rotfl: My family and partner humored me and kept making comments like, "Well, the fish wasn't horrible." :lmao: You just gotta chalk it up to a bad day and move on.

We're so tired here today that I allowed the family to have hot dogs...which I don't even remotely consider to be actual "food". :rotfl2:

D'oh! :headache: I hate when stuff like that happens.

Hope your pizza was good!

When my parents first got married my dad used to take pictures of my mom's meals that didn't go as planned. It's a miracle she didnt kill him! They do love to tell the stories !

Oooo, that would be grounds for some kind of retaliation!!!
