My son has been taking Karate for about 4 weeks. Just a few minutes ago, he was walking down the hall and his tummy was hanging out, so, being a mom, I couldn't resist trying to tickle it. He did a karate block on me! :rotfl:

Does this mean my tickling days are over?

NEVER :teeth: now you've got to get in karate too :lmao: j/k

that is too cute though :smooth:

LOL, now you've got to do sneak attacks. It'll help him too.

Maybe you should take a wrestling class so that way you can pin him down and tickle him whenever you please.

:rotfl: Could you imagine the looks we would get if we ever did this in public?

Along the same lines....a couple months ago my 25 yo son, who holds a 4th degree black belt, was visiting & fell asleep on the sofa. I knew he had to be somewhere so I tried to wake him up. Absolutely no response to calling his name, turning the light on over his head...so I finally reached out & touched his shoulder. Being awakened out of a sound sleep, he threw a block & almost took me out. It really scared him & he warned me to never do it again. "Always poke me with a broom handle on the feet." :lmao: :lmao:

ok i'm just pictureing trying to awaken little aiden with a broom.....

better idea, get dad to do it,,lol

I love Aiden stories. They are so cute. :)

You'll find a way to tickle. :)

LOL that's what happened to me. 6th months ago I made BB, just 6 months behind DS. DD started at the same time as DSbut was only 5 when she started. She'' test for BB in a yr (instructor will not test before their 10 BD).
DH finally caught the bug and is a yellow belt.

We practice falls/falling and it has really come in handy. DS falls very well whe skateboarding. A girl in class actually fell down her porch steps and her mom said she couldn't believe her DD took all the force by slapping the ground.

You are right, a lot of the stuff will come in handy! I also admit I have been thinking I should ust take the class too, because I sit and watch every one, and I help my DS practice what he is learning, and can pretty much do everything as well as all the students because of that!

It is awesome that your whole family is doing that together, that must really be a great family experience.
