CS, this might be a dumb question, but is he at some job where he is on call? Or is this just asking if he can cover a shift? Just curious because if it is just shift covering, I'd probably be upset if plans kept getting pushed aside for it.

No time for a ketchup, but did see the Road Kill stuff.

We got about 3" of snow last night. Have had flurries off and on and it is COLD!!

DBF is working at a home heath service and he's been on call just about all week(he's a aide).We keep trying to get together but he ends up called in but we do IM like crazy He's also having car problems but he does keep me posted on everything(and there's also the distance factor)

Good for him...hope he does well. One of my previous jobs was as a staffing manager for a home healthcare company. All of my CNA's were on call and most of them welcomed picking up shifts whenever I asked. It's tough work. I'd get pages at all hours of the night b/c someone didn't show and needed to get someone else in there. So I'd be on the phone at 3 and 4am calling other aides to go into work.

OMG!! You are THAT close??!!!! Heck yeah, we gotta do a meet!!!! Arrive Friday, 4/23 around 10PM, staying at Radisson Hotel O'Hare Airport (where the convention is). So, Friday nite is probably out. BUT, the con doesn't start till noon, both Saturday and Sunday. We have reserved seats and can come and go as we wish, so I see no reason why we couldn't work out a time to get together! The schedule of events doesn't come out till April 22nd, though But, we know for sure we got mornings!

CS, gotta admire a guy in that line of work. You should be very proud!

We had 8 inches of the lovely white stuff and sub zero weather today. Brrrr. DH thought I was going grocery shopping now too. I HATE to go grocery shopping. Looks like that's what I get to do. I was hoping to snuggle down and stay warm too. Cupboard is bare and the need is apparent. Durn. He's still at work, so I gues it's me. Later YaYas.

Reminds me of the time my brother used to say that about bakery as my Mom is the queen of bakery. She made Everything from scratch and it always tasted better! He would always throw that at my SIL. Well, being the brat that I am, one day I couldn't pass up the chance as he was over raving about Mom's great cake and how SIL should make stuff like that. Innocently I asked Mom how she did it...Duncan Hines was the answer, Oh boy was that a precious moment.

Moral of the story...we would never know (maybe you wouldn't either) I'm with Beth...box is tasty! (Less mess...keeps the kids off the pavement.) Protector of the critters marching over and sitting down now.
