Well, I just got back from the vet and my wallet is a whooping $200 lighter, and as of now, I am waiting on tests results to come back. The good news...it is nothing obvious.....the bad news...it is nothing obvious. There is a chance his anal glads could be part of the problem, but time will tell. Barkley had some blood work done, and also got a shot of antibiotics as well as some antibiotics to take home. He is a pooped out puppy (in more ways than one) and is resting, and most likely will be a little sleepy for the rest of the day. So Thursday I should have a better idea of what is going on. I really do trust my vet though, so that helps and does seems to be comforting. For now, no treats. Just his dry food and water. If the tests come back negative, we may be thinking about changing dog food!!! Time is gonna be the test here I think!! Thanks again for all the well wishes!!!

Going to take a much needed nap....back a bit later!!!!

I have napped, blown snow and made some eggs....I am trying to steer clear of the kitchen cause poor little Barkley really wants to eat something.... anything other than dry food. Where is everybody? Well, it is snowing again and looking pretty rough out there!!! I am thinking I may have to go blow some more snow!!!

Ouch Liz - sorry the vet got a hold of your wallet... I hope Barkley's test results reveal nothing major.

wE had freezing rain- then snow - got around 2-3" - then back to freezing rain - and then a little more snow. We're supposed to get 2-4" more tonight.

We had that crap Sunday...
The 2-4 inches only came to about 1 inch...hopefully that will hold true for you...

What a miserable day today. Outside it was messy. I started to think I was never going to start feeling well…finally think it turned around though.

Liz PD for Barkley and you. Hope the tests work out that it is nothing major. Wow that he is up there in age is something. I have never had a dog live that long for me. You must be doing something right for sure. $orry that your wallet is lighter. I give all my money to our vet too.

Nancy, that’s what was going on with me. Spent all week getting sick…not getting better, finally made the Dr. apt. and got in the same day—a miracle in itself—and got a little worse over the weekend now I think I got it going good. Took off 2 plus days work though. (left early for Dr. apt.) Going in tomorrow and will try to catch up for all that I missed. Just as Suzanne said earlier…it probably will be about 3 weeks before he/we feel back to normal again.

Yeah Sherry, thunderstorm in Ohio in January. What was up with that? Woke everyone up here for sure.

Elaine, hope you feel better today. Poor kitty.

I managed to do it the first two times when it was still "nice" out. Now it is getting very cold!!!! And the wind is really picking up. Well, Barkley seems to be getting along. He is not real happy about his new diet however. I feel bad, but I have to practice a little tough love!!! I did have to laugh when the vet assistant told me Barkley would not be suffering anytime soon from anorexia. Is that her way of telling me he is "fat". Like mommy, like son I guess!! He might be a touch over weight, but seroulsy...that is SO Greg's fault. I just have to be the meanie and tell him to eat his dry food and like it. Greg will eventually cave and add something to his food and so the cycle repeats. I always end up being the meanie!!

Pam, do be careful on the lovely mix of yuck you have going on out there. I about fell on my behind today as well!!!

Todd, I don't evene know what to say, except that you are all in my thoughts and prayers. I hope that rest comes easy to you and Amanda both.

Liz, that was one amazing catch up there!!! Fortunately this vet bill wasn't too outrageous. A little more than I remember it to be, but I know that vet meds have gone up and I love this woman to death. Plus it was only $40 and keeping the babies healthy is more important to me than anything.

Speaking of which I am sharing my lap with a cat... she is purring contently

Liz that was a good kechup.
Just got off treadmill. Thought I would try to see if I could walk any hoping it would help me feel better. Did 2 miles, 40 min at 3 mph. DH booted me off for his turn now.
No snow stuff for us today. DSs' duty. Yuk stuff out there and getting frozen now.

Ahhh the joys of being a ya ya...now if I could figure how to get the poor puppy not to pee in the bed!!!! Without fail, anytime he gets an antibitic in shot form, he has an accident somewhere in the house.....Guess where he decided to go today???Yeppers, in my bed!! Arrgghhh!! Good thing I had LOTS of blankies on the bed, but I did have to wash right down to and including the mattress pad. So now I have 3 loads of linens to attend to.....puppy is going out every hour on the hour....and then some!!!!!!


On that note...off to throw another load in the washer!!!
