Well, the boys finally got their snow day!
We got freezing rain overnight. They will be thrilled.

Wish I could go to bed but I have to babysit. I only have the 2 yo today, though.

Got my hair highlighted last night. I hadn't done it since Aug. so it needed it REALLY BAD. Looks so good now.

Good morning all!! Staying home today. Small headache, slightly tired adn I have things I need to do today. Since it is supposed to sleet off and on later today I'd like to get some things done before then I need to take Gwenie to the vet for shots today too so I'd like to be able to not rush trying to get her ready for that.

Kristy, I'll have to see if I can find that thread... I started to read it (I think) and ones like that usually amuse me because of how different people's styles are in life.

PD for all the sickies out there my DS included. He is still home with ear/sinus infection. Poor thing just can't get it all out.

Betty Hope your DD is doing much better today.

Talked to DH and they are having a time of it in Ga. w/sleet/rain icy roads. It really needs to clear up so he can bring some more stuff down. So far, the closing is on for Fri. Yippee!!

Sounds like a yucky morning for just about everybody, so I must be in good company!!! Iwas up late with the furbaby and up again checking on him and the snow situation and right now all I can say is BLECH! Puppy boy is comfortably sleeping and has kept his food in and drank some more water...but he is going to the vet as soon as I can call and make an appointment. Looks like we got a good 4 - 6 inches of snow and it is still coming down. Normally I don't mind the snow...but with my lovely boot, traveling solo and a sick puppy...I lose a lot of confidence!!! So wish me luck as I venture out today......it is not the driving that scares me......walking in this stuff petrifies me!!! I will definately get an uupdate out after the vet appointment. Off to sneak a bit more sleep...the vet should start to answer the phone in about an hour or so.

PD to all who need it and big hugs to everybody!!!

Todd and Amanda, again your family has been on my mind, in my heart as well as in my prayers. I hope that somehow you all are finding a way to make it through this difficult time. Know you are loved lots, by all of us here!!!!

Thanks, everyone, for your prayers and support. Everything is planned for 2pm today, although the family will be there by 1pm. The girls seem to understand. We will see today. Last night I was explaining to them about the 'box' and asked them if they wanted to see Nene, the actual funeral is closed casket but the family will be having a short viewing before everyone arrives. They both have been able to tell me that Nene is with God, who made her feel better but she has to stay with Him. I think it will be very hard on my Dad to see my girls. He is extremely close to them, as was my Mom, and he hasn't seen them since Thursday. I am sure he will think about how my Mom will never see them again. Keep my in your thoughts, my siblings want me to sing. I have agreed that I would try, as long as I got to sing before any readings or talking took place. Todd has put together the CD of my Mom's six favorite songs that will play as individuals arrive. We aren't doing a visitation, just a short service then straight to the grave site...which we went to last night because my Dad wasn't leaving until he seen it. We also are staying till the grave is filled. My Dad is insisting on this, it was a promise he made to my Mom and we won't leave him there. The girls are not staying for this part. It is suppose to be extremely cold today, which until my Mom was sick she couldn't stand the cold. She hated winter. The girls in the family are wearing spring colors. Mom loved spring and summer. It is a private service so we have mentioned to those we have invited to please stay away from full black, Mom had requested this.
Again thanks for all the thoughts and prayers. You are a wonderful group of friends.

When my brother died, I too wore the brightest clothing I owned. I wanted to celebrate his life with all the color I could find.

Well its still sunny here but a tad colder. It was in the low 30's last night. Brrrrr and now its in the low 50's today. Im trying to pay some bills here so my ketchup wont be all that great. hopefully I cna do better later.
