Been really busy here at our little house lately. Hope all of you are doing well. We are taking off for the day. Today is Evan's 4th birthday and we are going to the RFC in Galveston. Hopefully I will be able to find eveyone on the new board. I guess our Roadkill cafe wont be making the trip?? OR will it? I'm confused.

Shep - I LOVE waterfalls, too! Yellowstone has some amazing ones! The Penna. Grand Canyon had a couple of nice ones, too!
I would love to see that one way down in the Grand Canyon (the one on the travel Channel the other night!) It's a very strenuous hike to it, though...

Kristy - what did you scrapbook? Sinus headaches are the pits, aren't they??

Was out working on my landscaping project ... Amanda approved.... Now I have to get more of them block wall pieces....My stuff I ordered through the mail catalog nursery should be coming sometime this week(that i'm putting in my new area)

Pam--ahh..the Grand Canyon...I'm sure them will be the MOTHER of all waterfalls compared to the ones we're used to seeing...One day I hope to do that strenuous hike...Let me know in advance if its gonna be on travel channel again so i can tape it..

Hi everyone! Was out and about today! Right now I am outside on my fabulous deck with the sun shining, the breeze feels wonderful and it's a beautiful 54 where it feels so wonderful I could be in shorts!!!!

Deena, congrats on 4000 posts!!! I swear I barely notice what any of them are anymore!!! Keep on posting though!!!!

Kristy, I hope that your headache is feeling better by now! Sounds like you had a fun evening last night too!!!

Shep - we were at the Grand Canyon six years ago - in Jan. We just hike a little ways down the Bright Angel Trail - it was very cold - in the 20s or 30s. We took the train from Williams, AZ up to the Grand Canyon and spent the night right at the Southern Rim. The Northern Rim of the Canyon is closed in the winter. We got back to Williams and a snow/ice storm hit - they closed the Canyon down - so it's a good thing we got out of there when we did!!

Landscaping project sounds great!!


Elaine - can you believe I saw about half a dozen kids running around with no coats and in shorts today? It's nice out - but the wind is chilly and it's just in the 50s here.... and back at ya - toots - you always make me smile, too! Have fun at the hockey game - and try not to get into any brawls - I know, I know, that will be a hard thing for you!!

I have to get ready to go see DS perform with the OA Dance and Ceremonies Team tonight. I have to pick him up at Camp. He is not only dancing - but he has the 2nd lead in the ceremony. Of course I'm not bragging or anything...

Battery died in my car - my truly wonderful and talented hubby got me a new one before heading out to the lake for probably the last weekend of ice fishing!

Been doing some house work. Took Mom to Michael's (craft store). She got yarn. I got a coffee mug with shamrocks for our coffee mug o'the month desk designs. Had trouble finding a St. Pat's mug; I would not have guessed it would have been that tough to get around here. Oh well. My statement will be on my desk Monday.

Hope Evan has a great birthday.

Still sounds as if we have the YaYa "cooties" floating around here. Maybe we need the cabana boys to make a clean sweep of the place. You know these road kills need to be kept away from our YaYas. Maybe that's where the germs come in here. Hmmm.

Well I think we are going out to buy another couple of phones for around here. Never can have too many.

(btw--nephew got final approval for his Eagle. It is in the paper chase phase right now.)

Kids are outside and making happy kid sounds. It's Srping! Dogs are getting exhausted barking at everyone.

Pam...I'm sure your work is wonderful!! This is my first book...so it's not fabulous.

Have been working on the wedding pictures for a little while now...got all the negatives..just need to label out which ones need reprints..and egads...there's a lot of them!! Need to finish that SOON or my mom is gonna start yelling.

Headache isn't completely gone...but better than before.

We just got home. Took Evan to the Rainforest Cafe in Galveston. It was really cool. We had the Volcano for dessert and they sang Happy Birthday to him. This RFC has a really cool raft ride inside. Its a kind of like POTC meets Jungle Cruise. Its pretty dark but lots of cool animals and 1 fire blowing statue. Even Connor was engrossed with everything so we actually got to crew our food and enjoy it. He doesnt sit well in restuarants so our trip is usually pretty quick, lol. We gave Evan a Power Ranger--supposed to morph into a dinosaur but David and I are having a hard time with it, lol. And he got a Power Ranger movie. His party is going to be next weekend. Hopefully we will be having some sun then.

Hi all... back from the hockey game!! It was awesome and the Blue Jackets beat the Avalanche for the first time *EVER* in the history of playing!!! They won 5-4 in sudden death overtime!!! Excellent game!!!

Pam, I could believe that you saw so many kids like that! I admit when I was out on the deck, I almost considered finding a pair of shorts to wear... the sun was that bright htat I was getting hot in jeans!

Oh and good for your DS!!! You should brag and be proud my hunny lumps

Lily, I am shocked you had such a hard time finding that mug as well!! Our stores are full of St. Patrick's Day stuff as well as easter too I swear we go from one holiday straight to another!
