Susan,

That guy makes me think of Robert Palmer singing "simply irresistable", lol!

Just a vegging day here-broke until payday, so I don't wanna waste gas. Need to defrost some dinner. That's what I get for being a good girl and paying more of the bills than I needed to!

Ed's playing VMK, so now the kids are here in the office, lol. He says they flock to him as soon as they hear him launch it!

I'll be around, so I'll pop in sooner or later!

Suzanne

good morning gang,

Well, we are still dealing with a temp. over a 103 again this mornig. He was up for about 30 minutes and then the motrin kicked in and he went back to sleep. He is still asleep. I just checked on him because he let out a holler but apparently that was in his sleep.

So wehn he gets up we are off to the urgent care. I feel pretty sure it is his ears. I could wait until tomorrow, but getting an appt. on monday is like trying to get a PS at Cindy's table on the day of!! So I'll fork out the extra $10 and get in today.

Catsrule, thanks for clearing things up for me!! And welcome aboard our ship! (do you know what happens when you screw up "ship" oh my that wouldn't have been pretty!!)

Susan, how did you husband like the size 2????

Karen...It's a small World After all!! cheers toyou!

gotta go get dressed and eat some lunch so i can take baby butt to the doc. See you all when I return!
tara

DUH!! Where's the frying pan to hit myself over the head!!

Happy Birthday to Rose Mary and Johnathan!!!

Enjoy your day!!
tara

Tara- DH is just like any other middle aged married man didn't notice I went down to a size 2. I even got my hair cut and he didn't notice. If there was no dinner on the table he'd notice. Or if the tv went out yes that he would notice. Still I gotta love him.

Happy Birthdays are in order I see. (nothing gets past me)
Happy Birthday Jonathan and Rose Mary.

GRRR!! I just got off the phone with the on call office and they told me to call tomorrow morning unless his fever got over 105. Grrr!!

Excuse me for the ignorance, but I always thought anything over 104 would be critical.

that's what I thought! UGH! His fever was up to 101 just as his meds wore off. He was tired so I laid him back down. But when he gets up, if it is 103 again, I'm saying screw the nurse that I talked to and I'm taking him to the urgent care center. And then i'll gladly pay for the entire visit if they dont' approve a referral...I'd much rather my child be taken care of now when i know he is sick, than wait until tomorrow and then have to fight for an appt. (I know I can get one....but still...)

Thanks!!

tara

Hey All,

Tara so sorry to hear that Ethan is so sick. Poor baby, Poor you. I always thought anything over 104 was critical also. I cant believe they want you to wait and see if it gets to 105. Yikes. I agree with what you did and went to get him in today. I will keep him in my prayers.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROSEMARY!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JONATHAN!!!

Todays performances were AWESOME!!!! The kids did an amazing job. We are so proud of all of them. They worked so hard and everything came off without a hitch for two performances. They got a standing ovation at the contemporary service. I was a mess during most of it as were two of the other two ladies. We kept crying it touched us so much. I really started crying when my eldest did his solo and when he and the other young man pantamined the accepting of Christ. Even dh got very teary. It was just such an amazing morning. We had people accept Christ at the first service and many people come to the pulpit to pray. This musical touched people in a way no other play has that I have been involved in and dh and I have done quite a few in the last few years. I made some wonderful friends through this also. What a wonderful day.

Elaine Im sorry to hear you didnt sleep well last night. Did you get a nap in today?

Lily how are you doing my friend?

Hi Suzanne!!!

Pam yep my kids went back to school on the 8th. They are starting earlier and earlier due to the FCAT exams. They want more time before the tests to get in what they have to teach. They get out on May 23rd though which is nice. We can maybe get to Disney before the crowds and the major heat.

Well I think Im gonna go lay down and watch TV. Hope everyone has a wonderful evening.

HUGS TO ALL!! :grouphug:

Everyone must be enjoying their Sunday.

Tara, I hope Ethan's fever broke and that Jarrod started behaving. I've got the quite rambunctious 6 yo in the tub right now.

Hope Nancy is taking lots and lots of pictures in her travels!

Hope RoseMary and Jonathan are enjoying b'day cakes. In their honor, we're having brownies a la mode! :) I need chocolate!

We had a fairly quiet day. Went to check in on the kitties, ran an errand to the store closer to my house (dropping off keys), then picked up a few things for our fondue dinner.

I picked up a book while in Naples and it's gotta be good-it pulls me away from computer time! I'm not a romance reader, but this author is rather witty, so I'm enjoying it. Same author I picked up a few months ago-Katie MacAllister.

I'm waiting for the fallout. I sent an email to a friend who isn't doing right by her parents right now. One is recouperating from a stroke, the other from a fall where she broke a hip and several ribs-and friend is making tons of excuses why she can't take mom shopping, to doctor's appointments and to visit Dad in the rehab facility. Ugh-I had to say something, because we don't know how much time we have with loved ones and should do as much as we can.

Anywho, off to wash a younguns hair, his favorite thing. Probably will be back later.

Suzanne

Thanks for the b-day wishes for Jonathan. He picked Olive Garden for his b-day dinner. Yum. Picked up an Oreo Blizzard Cake for him on the way home. It was sooo good.

Tara, hope Ethan feels better soon. Poor guy.

Hi Mary Jo!

John, don't even remind me of that little tidbit. :faint:

Well, I'm back.

Ethan got up from his nap about 230 with a 104 fever, so i got dressed and took him to the urgent care center. When I got there and told them what was wrong they wouldn't even see him. They told me to go to the Children's hosp. So off we went.

By the time we got there his temp was almost 105! The nurse was quick to point out to me (none to friendly I might add) that had I given him the motrin or tylenol he would not be that hot  Oh well.

The looked him over, checked his ears, his lungs, and the rest of his body. Nothing. So they took blood for a blood culture and used that site to put in a plug thingy for an iv. They also took urine (the hard way I might add). then b/c he was so lethargic they did a lumbar puncture to check for menengitis. All the blood work came back fine. Nothing. But they gave him an iv antibiotic to hopefully kill whatever they couldn't find.

I have to either take him to his ped tomorrow or take him back to the er to be checked!! ugh!

Anyway, that was my day. Hopefully he will feel better tomorrow. I'm headed to bed now.

Hope everyone had a good day. Sorry for the Eiop!!

tara

Tara: What a horrible ordeal you and Ethan had to go through. Why did that nurse have to be such a troll? The last thing a parent needs when they are concern over their child and they are doing their best is to have a troll like that to deal with. Sure hope Ethan is feeling better after he gets some sleep tonight. Keep us posted.

It is late and I will look at a few more threads then off to bed.
Nighty night.

I'm sorry you had to go through that Tara. Def. is one of those things that your damned if you do, damned if your don't. I hope that both of you are sleeping right now and the fever is gone.

Morning :)

Thought I'd pop in and check out your new home, can't believe you are up to 8 pages already!

Have fun Ya-Yas!
Gaspodé

Poor Ethan. Hugs to Ethan. Get better, pal.

Karen

Grumble....

if it wasn't the DIS giving me database errors & to please refresh, it was my computer not behaving  I guess I wasn't meant to be online yesterday ;)

Tara, I am so sorry you had to go through all that with Ethan :( I do hope he will be feeling much better soon

Hi Melissa :wave2:

After my mood from yesterday, I think I need a nice relaxing day of nothing... just hope my boys get on top of the cleaning from the party this weekend we had in my suite  ;)

"Good Morning, Riverboat Passengers!" :sunny: "This is Pam, your friendly Riverboat Patrol. Today's Cheeto Rating is at an elevated stage....... there will be a brief docking of our Riverboat in order to Cheeto that stooopid nurse.

Please report to your liefboat station immediately, each person should be armed with 6 bags of extra crunchy, extra cheesy Cheetos. My wonderful and able assistants will then instruct you in the art of aiming and launching your Cheetos. This will be a drive-by assault, please be prepared to launch your missiles [cheetos] and then make a mad dash back to the riverboat.

Thank-you and have a good day!"

Good Morning!

My Mom is picking up the boys this morning and taking them to the Kalahari Resort. It is a new indoor waterpark/resort. They are excited. This is the first time in a loooong time we've had all 4 boys gone for a whole night. WOO HOO!!

Tara, so sorry you went through all that with Ethan. I hope he's feeling better this morning.

RM, Happy Birthday! belatedly. Hope you had a great day.

Sherry, for Jonathan--Happy Birthday! belatedly. Sherry I know he is probably counting the days until Valentines Day! Super {{{HUGS}} to you for that.

JR Karen, saying prayers for Scotty. Have been since we talked. Hope to hear good news. That must be scary for him I'm sure.

Karen, Doin' ok thanks for asking. And sorry, not good at chasing you there. You makin it? ;)

It was a busy weekend for me. That MY computer is still down is making things more difficult to DIS and that I've been having some slow things and nasty grams when I do sign onto the DIS makes it more difficult for me. I did 10 miles with the group on Saturday in the horribly hot weather. It really was quite draining, but while I was doing it I was actually enjoying the company. It was so hot that most everyone had to go slower so I had lots of company along the way. I worked at a water station during the Cleveland Triatholon yesterday. It was a longer day than we all expected, those people are more crazy than me. It is always good to know someone is more crazy than me. Came back and took it easy the rest of the evening. Read mostly.
Have a great day Ya Yas!

LILY! I just want you to know that I sent me floaties overboard to rescue you!! :goodvibes

Hope your computer issues are resolved real soon - yours, too, Elaine!

Deadline week - blech..... :guilty:
