WELCOME TO THE DISBOARDS DVC FORUM
To all who come to this happy place, Welcome. Disney (Vacation Club) Land is your land. Here, age relives fond memories of the past and youth may savor the promise and challenge of the future.
For those who dont recognize those words, they are the opening lines to Walt Disneys dedication speech (with liberties taken) at the opening of Disneyland on July 17, 1955. While the Disney Vacation Club began many years after that date, the concept and intent of DVC embraces the same thought and purpose.
Our goal on the DVC Forum is provide a place for discussing all things related to Disney Vacation Club with other members and non-members alike. We want this Forum to be a community offering a comfortable setting to ask questions and share experiences relating to the Disney Vacation Club. The DVC Forum has four boards the Operations Board, the Planning Board, the Rent/Trade Board and the Mousecellaneous Board. We have four boards to make it easier to group and find common topics. It also aids those who are new in finding answers to the more technical questions about DVC. The purpose and description of each Board follows below.
For those unfamiliar with the DVC concept, please review our DVC Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) and then feel free to pose new questions about DVC on our forum.
DVC Operations -- Discussion of the Public Offering Statements (POS), Rules and Policies, DVC statistics, DVC contact information, and topics covered in the DVC Planner or Member Website guidelines such as Banking/Borrowing points, Mousekeeping, and so on. If it involves DVC Member Services in any way, then it belongs here.
The DVC Operations Board is the place to discuss Disney Vacation Club ownership (membership) benefits, policies and statistics Essentially any information contained in the Vacation Planner and POS. There are many here with vast experience in all things DVC all eager to share that knowledge and experience with others. Remember just like Cast Members, we are going to be asked the same questions over and over. To us its repetition, but to the person asking it is all quite new (just as it was for each of us at one time ). In many cases, these newbie questions provide us old timers the opportunity for viewing the organization in a new light seeing it through new eyes.
Questions and discussion regarding the technical and philosophical aspects of renting should go on the DVC Operations Board. Any discussions about renters getting DVC perks, DP, DME, AP discounts, room requests, "what are my chances of getting a reservation", or resort activity questions all belong on the DVC Planning Board.
DVC Planning -- tips and questions regarding the use of your membership (resorts, services, restaurants, programs, and DVC perks).
The DVC Planning Board is the place to ask questions and share experiences about organizing and planning DVC vacations. It is also available to discuss how to best use your membership including membership perks. Discussion of resort features and services, restaurants, tours, programs and other DVC specific perks belong here.
Questions and discussion regarding the technical and philosophical aspects of renting should go on the DVC Operations Board. Any discussions about renters getting DVC perks, DP, DME, AP discounts, room requests, "what are my chances of getting a reservation", or resort activity questions all belong on the DVC Planning Board.
DVC Rent/Trade -- renting and trading posts -- the only forum for posts regarding the renting or transferring of points (I need xxx points for ..., I have xxx points to rent/trade); but not for purchase or sale of contracts.
The DVC Rent/Trade Board is the place to request to rent a DVC reservation from a member, offer or request to trade points among members, or to offer to rent a reservation by members, or to trade your personal timeshare or condo for a DVC reservation or points transfer. Make sure you read the posting requirements for this board on the sticky titled DISboard Rent/Trade Board Posting Title Requirements.

The DVC Mousecellaneous Board is the place for discussions about DVC related topics not specific to DVC operations, DVC vacation planning, or Renting/Trading DVC reservations or points. This is the place to post "Welcome Homes" and other congratulations, trip countdowns, room and trip reports, DVC rumors and speculations, DVC special events (cruises, member get togethers, ride/attraction previews), member discounts and perks, other Disney perks and how they related to DVC members (DDE, Dining Plan, etc). These discussions are welcome here. Any threads/topics not DVC specific will be moved to the appropriate DIS forum.
If you have questions about other WDW resorts, restaurants, tickets/ticket brokers, weather, crowds and other non-DVC related information, please post those on the appropriate boards (Theme Parks, Resorts, Restaurants, Trip Planning, Rumors, Budget, etc.). If you have questions/comments about non-Disney topics, please post those on the DIS Community Board.
NO For Sale posts are to be made anyplace on the DISboards website. This includes making mention of resort, Use Year or number of points when requesting information about selling. "Want-to-Buy" posts are also not allowed.

The DIS has a wealth of content about Walt Disney World readily accessible online. There is information about all Theme Parks, Resorts, Restaurants (including menus), Tours, Special Events, Holiday Programs and more all available online. Most can be accessed directly from the WDWINFO main page or from the sidebar links on the left side of the wdwinfo site pages. While we do welcome information found on other internet sites, as a courtesy, we ask that links to other sites not be provided for information already available on our site.
