I wondered whether anyone had any experiences of this tour? We will be newbies to DLR (but have been to WDW and DLP many times) and we do enjoy all the history etc - unsure whether my teen DD will enjoy as much though;) - we will have one or two days to spare where we can do something like this and as I am thinking of getting a AP it will be even better value.

Sorry, I can't help you, but maybe someone else knows....

bump :goodvibes

I have not done the tour myself but have heard good things on here from those who have. Maybe some one will have more information for you or can lead you to some trip reports.

I have also heard great things about Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour. That offers lots of history and the opportunity to experience/see some rarer things, like the Club 33 lobby and get a ride on the Lilly Belle. I know many people here have done this tour including with their kids and loved it!

I looked that one up on the official site - it's quite a bit more expensive at $59 pp but AP holders still get a discount - however it says it includes a unique visit to the Tiki rooms which is DH's favorite attraction (honestly!) - so it's still a really good suggestion. Also notice it includes lunch so maybe the cost isn't so bad after all

I wondered how basic the 'Welcome' tour might be - that one says you have an 'expert' to show you how to use a fastpass machine - never been to DLR before but have been to Disney parks about 15 times (WDW and DLRP) so might know how to use fastpass by now - so might not be the tour for us.
