If I have an 8:15 AM reservation for BOG, and the park (as of now) is scheduled to open at 9AM, would I have time to go back to Main St to see the Welcome Show?

And if the park hours get extended to opening at 8AM instead of 9, would I still have time to watch the Welcome Show then get to BOG in time?

I'm planning on going on New Years Day, and it seems like most people are thinking park hours will open earlier, but I also really really want to see the welcome show since I've never seen it, but I'm not sure how far BOG is from the entrance and how long it'll take us to walk there.

BOG is in the far back corner in Fantasyland. Usually the welcome show begins 15 minutes to prior to park opening. So, unless you are actually seated and eating by 8:15, or literally gulp your breakfast (and miss checking out the beast's castle), I don't think it's possible. IMHO

It's going to be packed that day. By the time you eat, and make your way back, there will be so many people, you probably won't be able to see it anyways. I would choose one or the another.

I say no the welcome show is 20 minutes before opining,so that gives you 25 minutes to eat and walk to the front of the park so I would not count on being able to do that

I know this isn't the question you asked but I wouldn't go to the welcome show even if you have time to. It's cute, but not spectacular, and you would end up giving up the advantage to being deep in the park before rope drop that comes with a BOG breakfast and join the throngs waiting to get in. If you have another MK day, see the morning show then. Otherwise skip it and don't worry about it.

There is a separate park entry queue for early dining guests. My guess is the park will open at 7 or 8am on New Year's Day. If it opens at 8am, take advantage of the early entry dining queue and the empty park and snap a few pictures of yourselves in an empty park! If it opens at 7am, you'll get to see the opening show AND get to your ADR with plenty of time to spare.

If the park opens at 8:00, no one will be allowed in early for ADRs. Everyone will enter at the same time.
