Are any of you having a cocktail party the night before the wedding, and is everybody having a rehearsal and rehearsal dinner?

We did not have a rehearsal, so we invited just out of town guests to an "unrehearsal" ;) dinner the night before the wedding. We first gathered at my mother's house for some wine and snacks, and then went to a fun (and loud) New Orleans style restaurant called Nola (fabulous sweet potato fries, and pecan pie!). The wedding went fine without a rehearsal...we just briefly talked about where people would stand during the ceremony.:cutie:

I was thinking about not having a rehearsal because I mean we know how the wedding is going to go. We all have been to weddings and in them so its pretty much self explanatory. I'm assuming that they explain where to stand and how everything will be.

I guess that I will just have the welcome party. I just don't know where to hold it.
I would like to hold it at the resort we are staying at (POR) but I don't know if we could do that.

We are having a RD at Ohana's for just the bridal party (around 20) and later in the evening an Illuminations dessert party as a welsome party for all our guests.

Since we are having an intimate and there is no rehearsal we are not having a rehearsal dinner either. We decided to have a bachelor day and bachelorette day the day before the wedding!
DF is taking all the guys to IOA and PI. I'm taking my crew (all the parents and my friends) over to AK and then my 3 best friends and I are going to the spa at Saratoga Springs. After that we are heading to Ohana which I hope will be a better experience that the one I had there with a large party the other night! I'm thinking about going to Jellyrolls after that!

Same thing with us, we are having an intimate, so no rehearsal. We will be having a "welcome" Illuminations dessert party the night before the wedding

We had a Welcome Party at Winter-Summerland Mini Golf which included pizza, cake & icecream. It was anice icebreaker for all of the families and friends to mingle and meet.

The following day we had a Rehersal Lunch at Olive Garden.

Can I ask you for more details about your welcome party at Winter-Summerland Mini Golf? Thanks!!!

I couldn't squeeze the welcome party in our budget. Our rehearsal dinner was just our parents and us going to the California Grill. Rather than creating another event, it was nice just to take a night and ride the boat over to the Contemporary and RELAX!
