Can't help you with the welcome meeting but we stayed last September.
We thought it was fine for our needs ( ie, somewhere to lay your head), maybe a little cramped for 4 but clean and friendly.
The breakfast was of good standard and fresh and plentiful.
2 nice swimming pools. Nice well kept surroundings. We didn't use the Tiki bar in the evenings but it looked nice.
We tried the bar snacks but thought they were yuk!
The reception area is very nice and airy.
One word of warning, if you are driving to the Villager Premeir, you will find that the sign for it outside the building is very small and it is more advertised as a Travel-lodge.We drove past it twice!
Great for going to the parks all within easy driving distance.
Seaworld on your doorstep- 5-10 mins walk.
Really enjoyed the hospitality of the Village Inn restaurant next door+ Flippers pizza delivery to the room was no more than 20 min wait -( Flippers is almost next door).Yummy

.
Poolside rooms are quieter and there is a very busy road behind this accomadation.
For the money you pay, it is a nice place to stay and although it is on the doorstep to everywhere, it's quite a quiet place to stay and I would go there again
