BillI got a a welcoming home call the other day for our upcoming trip in April. It was kinda strange. She was not a guide and not sure if member services. She just said she was calling to see if we needed anything for our trip such as tickets, dining plan etc.. She knew we had alread booked Magical express. I guess it would be nice for new members, but we have been members for 18 years.
We got this call the other day as well. First time we have received this. She left a message and was hard to hear/understand most likely due to our machine. It took me a moment to figure out what the call was for. I agree with the previous poster, while maybe useful for a new member, all i could think was that it was a bit useless for seasoned members.
We used to get calls from our guide when we stayed on property. But that stopped a few vacations ago.
Our guide used to call us during every trip. He hasn't done that for several years, though. At many of the resorts, there will be a recorded welcome message on the phone from a cast member when we get back from the parks that night. That's really hit-or-miss, though.
