What is the Welcome Home Wednesdays? Does anyone have information on it? Thanks

It's at the Atlantic Dance Hall on the BW at 4PM on Wednesdays and lasts about an hour. Most of it is in the form of a game show, with DVC members as contestants and the scoring is for fun, not seriousness. You can learn about new perks, have a chance to win some prizes, for instance I've been there when people in the audience have won $75 gift certificates to designated restaurants.

As you exit, you get a souvenir, like a baseball cap. There are refreshments for all.

I've been twice, over a 2 year period. It's great to go if you're around the BW and it's hot out. I would not run over there if we were having a good day at any of the parks!

On our trip in May it poured and poured and poured for the entire trip but didn't stop us from having a great time at the parks. We were staying at BWV and we did do over to Welcome Home Wednesdays at the Atlantic Dance Hall. It was cute. Dee Vee Cee was the hostess and it was a game show forum. I was afraid there was going to be a buying pitch but there wasn't. They gave away about 6 nice prizes and everyone went home with a folding DVC tote. There was free snacks, lemonade and water. It was about an hour and kids were there. The kids just watched and ate there snacks. Not something I would plan my day around to attend but if you are in the area give it a try.

Every trip I say I want to do this, but we never do. We are normally at the BCV, but we will be staying at the BWV in a few weeks, so I do hope to check it out finally!

We went during our stay in June. It was a nice break from a hot Epcot day.
The kids had their snack and tried to answer some trivia to win a Pin.
There were about 7 prizes they gave away to the audience. After the event was up we were all given a reusable shopping bag.
I thought it was fun to do atleast once!

I remember showing my member card, and I do know some members had guests with them.

The DVC website says that members can bring guests. If it's raining on Wed, or non-park day, we may head over to this.

We went this past July. I won a pin for answering a question, then my name was pulled from the box and won a $50.00 gift certificate to Fulton's Crab House.
Prize for everyone was the red DVC member ballcap

I have been twice.... once in June: won a pin for answering a question none of the contestants knew the answer to and on the way out each of us were given a blue DVC reusable shopping bag (think like the ones they sell at walmart for a buck or two). In August: we were all given red DVC baseball caps.....

Same format...and spoiler here: The game show always ends in a tie!

We will be renting there our next trip, will we be allowed? I remembered this last trip, we were treated like DVC members, ie, valet parking etc. Just wondered.
