Welcome Home Wednesdays

Has anyone gone to these? We've never been to a Welcome Home Wednesday, but are thinking of stopping by on our upcoming trip in 2 weeks.

Is it worth it? What exactly do you do?

I did not think it was worth it. I went a year ago and it was a little bit of a waste of vacation time.

It may have improved. It seems like it has such nice opportunity. I would love this thing to be a way for DVC to communicate news about the new DVC's (Hawaii, California, AKV...).

I agree with Tigger031266. If you happen to be at BWV and you happen to have an hour to kill then by all means step inside the Atlantic Dance Hall, but don't go out your way to attend.

Thanks for the advice. I'm going to go with exactly what you guys said, if we happen to be there at 4pm on Weds (we are staying at BWV) then we may just stop in.

They provide a beverage and a snack. A game-quiz show is played and you have a chance to win prizes. At the end when you leave you get a prize-cap or pin. DVC tightly controls the event. They do not want too many questions asked. They provide a little bit of information and then on with the fun show.

went last Sept and i dont plan on going back this june when i'm there at BWV!

We went, only because we were staying at BWV. I won a DVC umbrella.
