Welcome Home-Our 1st DVC Trip Link to TR pg 53

Well, you're a better mom than I am because I probably would have stood in front of the fake hairpieces (or flipped over that page or however they show it to the girls). Those look so weird to me. But at least she didn't choose the pink one! She looks beautiful anyway. And I loved Cayley's expressions. What a fun treat for them!

They handed her the brochure when I was with Cayley. They do look odd but it made her very happy! It was :)

Beautiful pictures of Avery's makeover !

I  the ones of her looking at herself in the hand held mirror !

So cute how she picked out hair like Ariel's :goodvibes

Can't wait to see pictures from your CRT meal popcorn::popcorn::

Thanks very much. The PP guy did a great job with the mirror pics. They both :love:Ariel. Coming up in the next update.

Oh my goodness Mary! The pictures are absolutely beautiful! I so wish they had offered something like BBB when Lacey was little. Of course, I probably wouldn't have been able to talk tomboy Lacey into doing it but I would have tried.

Thanks Lisa, Ya never know, she might have done it...

Colored hair or not, she's still a beautiful princess. Glad she had a fun time.

Loved the BBB updates! Your girls are so adorable :goodvibes

Great pictures. Both girls look like real princesses. :thumbsup2

Q

Both of the girls make beautiful princesses! Fun hair choice by Avery! Definitely not one that I see normally. I wonder what DD is going to choose when we go.

Thanks so much ladies. It was a really fun experience. I bet Ms Lillian will choose something very cute!

Hi Mary!!!!
Sorry I have been such a bad DIS friend- life has been sooo busy and now with the start of school around the corner and summer finally coming to an end I think things will slow down! Maybe anyway!!??

I am all caught up and I am LOVING your report. Sounds like a wonderful trip!! I cant believe you kept BBB a surprise!! I am just not good at keeping those. :rotfl: The girls were both so adorable. I really loved the pictures of them holding the mirrors and looking at their reflections. so pretty!!!!!!

I cant wait to hear more!

I completely understand. I have been MIA for a week myself. Thanks so much. I am not much of a secret keeper either but it was so worth it. I don't think I would ever keep a trip secret-cause the girls love to help plan! The PP guy was really good at the mirror pics. Update hopefully today!

It has been a crazy first week of school and work. Avery started on Monday. Cayley started on Wed, and I started on Thurs. I had some residual concerns about Avery's school setting. I went and checked out a new school for her on Wed am. Fri aft we all went and checked it out. Long story short we decided to pull her out of public school and place her in a Montessori Accredited Charter school. I just think it is a better fit for her. So the weeknd was spent buying uniforms, new school supplies and a Costco run. I hope to have an update this aft/eve. Thanks for hanging with me.

Notice my ticker now says weeks instead of days. I did consider cancelling the trip since Avery is making a school change. They use the first 6 weeks as an observation period. After talking with Hubby and some friends decided that we will still be going. Just can't pass up such great prices and low crowds. And most importantly the cool Dis friends I am going to meet up with!!

I hope this turns out to be a great situation for Avery. :goodvibes She'll be an awesome little student wherever she is.

I am glad you guys are getting to keep your trip, as planned.

I am so jealous! We have a charter school down the street and you can only get in on a lottery and we didnt get in. We are on a waitlist now. I hope it works out great for Avery and she likes her new school.

I cant believe you are going back in 3 weeks!!! We went once during the fall and I LOVED it!!!!

I'm glad you were able to get Avery in a school that is more of a fit for her and for you. I think it is very important to be at ease with the education your child is getting.

I see that your ticker is getting closer and closer to the end . I am at 12 days now :woohoo::yay::dance3:. We bought a new van yesterday so we will have a new ride to take with us :lovestruc:cool1::woohoo:.

Mary, I'm glad that you got Avery situated in a new school which will be a better fit for her.

I can't believe how close our trips are. The time has just flown by. We are so looking forward to meet you and the girls at the pool at the CSR, and I'm looking forward to riding Big Thunder with them. :)

Me too. It was a hard decision. Thats part of why i did it. And for a future school for Cayley-who is more of a challenge behaviorally. We are all getting excited!!

After BBB the girls had a photo session. It was in the back of a store. They took a lot of pics but many of them were just so so. We did get to select some to take with us. Here are a few

Up next, we head in to the castle!!!

I hope that things are going well for Avery at her new school. I know it will be an adjustment for her but I am sure she will do fine.

On to the Disney stuff.....the Photopass pictures of the girls are just lovely. I know I always say that (I do that with all my Dis friends' kids but they are all so doggone cute.) but they are.

You guys were really lucky to see both Mary Poppins and the Fairy Godmother. I wish I could look so put together as Mary Poppins always does. Give me a white dress and I'd have it messy in 2.2 seconds flat.

Cayley's spontaneous dancing is so sweet. Don't you just love it when your kids are having so much fun at Disney!
