Weird Toronto/Cruise/Pillowcase Question

So - if you are reading this you must have been confused by my thread title .

Our family is going on our second DCL cruise in 2 weeks - 7 night Eastern. Our cruise meets thread (The Wild Turkey's) is planning a 'secret project' for a special family Shirley from Perfect GIft made us aware of. Anyway - long story short - I have volunteered to get the little girl a pillowcase signed. What I would like to have is a nice pillowcase embroidered with her name in 'Disney' font and maybe a mickey head embroidered or a princess....but here comes the problem....I am 'craftically challenged' and have no idea how to get this done (which begs the question, why did I volunterr for the pillowcase but that is a different story LOL...).

Anyway, the question is.....where can I go in Toronto (East End is better but I can travel) to have someone embroider her name onto a pillowcase? I would liek somewhere that has alot of fonts (ie Disney) and is fairly reasonable. I know there are fancy sewing machines out there that you can download fonts and have them put on your machine (technology - amazing itsn't it!) and I am sure there is some place in the big T.O where I can get this done.

So...............Torontonian DISrs - any help is appreciated.

You know embroidering is really easy and simple - it does take some time. You could get the Disney font on your computer by searching for it on google and then having it transferred onto transfer paper via your printer, iron on wherever you want it - make sure the ink on the transfer disappears once embroidered and washed.

I would volunteer to do it for you but I am preparing for a very big charity event for the 2nd of December and we leave for one months to Disney on the 4th so you can imagine I am super busy -add work, kids and day to day life, Christmas.

There is an embroidery place in Pickering Mall on the bottom floor near the food court - they embroider all kinds of materials and you could get it done there. (I think they are still there).I don't know about the price though - I think it's called "all things engraved" or something like that.

Thanks Denise - I will definately try the Pickering Mall. I do not think I am up to doing myself - but having someone else do it for me sounds like a great idea.

Better call Pickering Town Centre first because the last time I was there, I did not see that booth. I think they may have gone out of business.
