Okay say you buy a 7 day MYW ticket for a 4 day vacation rather than buy a 4 day parkhopper. Can I use more than "one day" on the pass to switch parks within the same day? The 7 day pass is cheaper than adding hopping benefits.

TIA!

No I am sorry. Disney does not allow this. If you do not have park hopper your ticket can only be used to enter one park that day. It will not allow you to use multiple days on a ticket in a single day. If you want to park hop, you must purchase the park hopper option.

What a great idea! Too bad it can't be done.

If I am reading this correctly, you are going for 4 days, but figure by getting the 7 day non hopper to save money you want to know if you can use the "other 3 days on the same day you use one of the 4 days.. correct? If that is what you are asking.. YES .. you sure can. One tkt per park.. till you use them up. It doesn't matter if you use 4 in one day & visit 4 parks or use 1 and stay at 1 park.. since there are no hopping privies, you are using your 1 days as you seem fit... Disney doesn't care. You just cannot re-use one that was already used.

Thats a good Idea:cool1:,I dont know but It would not hurt to ask a cm personaly I really do not see any thing wrong It should be up to you weather you go to a one park a day and you wat to use another day to use on it another park.Good luck:goodvibes

Why can't it? If you have 7 days and want to use 2 of the tkts in one day, you can. You just cannot re-use them. Or am I wrong? I didn't think Disney would stop you from using them since you paid from them.

But they would not be hopping in one sense since they would be opting to use a second tkt. I found no where on the offical site where it states they cannot do that. It stated one park, one tkt per day, not one park period.. I don't have one in my hand to read the back of it, so I am going by what I read on the offical web site... so if it is one park, one tkt per day, you can do 2 parks, 2 tks per day.. etc...

To get a true answer to this question, since I have just double checked on their site again and found nothing stating that you cannot do that.. this info may help you find the real answer. While they sell the hopper to those that want the full hopping prives for all their stay, that really isn't what OP is doing.. in one sense...

they have one single 7-day MYW ticket.

you cannot use 1 day off this one ticket to go to MK in the morning and then another "day" to go to epcot in the evening.

where is this second ticket idea coming from?

That answer is ABSOLUTELY incorrect. You CANNOT use an extra day to go to a different park on the same day. Why...it should seem obvious by your own statement...it's cheaper than buying a park hopper for 4 days. Everyone would do that if they wanted to hop and therefore Disney would lose revenue. Believe me you are not the first one to think of this angle.

A seven day ticket is one ticket that is good for 7 day visits. It is not 7 individual tickets.

Now if you had purchased 7 individual (7 of them) day passes then you could use an extra one on the same day but you would have paid a whole lot more for those tickets then it would have cost for the park hopper.

But they would not be hopping in one sense since they would be opting to use a second tkt. I found no where on the offical site where it states they cannot do that. It stated one park, one tkt per day, not one park period.. Ah yes, but a 7 day ticket is ONE ticket and it is processed through the computer when you arrive at the park. It records that you have validated that day already plus any other usage on a different day or the same day and it cannot be used at another park. Just one per day. Exception...see above but bring a lot of money with you cause it is going to be an expensive way to do it.

Sure there are ways to rationalize why you think you SHOULD be able to do this but the simple fact is you can't. This has been discussed before and is also spelled out clearly in the "Everything about WDW Tickets" sticky in post #15:

Ok, I just read that thread.. If I am wrong I am sorry, I went by what Disney's Offical web site stated and no where on there did it say you cannot use it more than once in one day. I checked for terms and conditions and found nothing to state what they were. So when they don't state it, it wasn't showing that it was not allowed. Like I said, I did not have one in my hand.

I have never purchased a MYW, I have always had annuals. If I remember correctly, years ago way before they started this MYW, when they had a standard mulit day pass you were allowed to use more than one per day... (and there were no park hopping charges added...) it was one park per day, if you wanted another park, you used your other tkt.. if someone can confirm this (and there were no experiation dates and all this other stuff added as the MYW has) I would appriciate it.

Yeah, their site isn't always the best in spelling everything out. That's why we all rely on the information on these boards. ;) It was a fair question, just one that I know I've seen before so I pointed out the reference. That sticky is a great place to start regarding any ticket-related questions and at this point, it covers just about anything you could think of.

Yes, you could do this years ago but not anymore. Disney changed it- Now that the difference between a 6 and 7 day is just a few dollars, the tickets don't work that way anymore. You just have to add the hopper. The computer knows you've used the ticket already once that day and won't let you use a 2nd day.

Thank you.. that was what I based my answer on. I had remembered something about that & not seeing anything on the offical website stating that you could not.. lead me to think you could. I was mislead. I thought I remembered my aunt using 2 of her tkts in one day.. I had an annual. :goodvibes

From the Disney Ticket Site http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/tickets-passes/

Magic Your Way Tickets

Magic Your Way Base Tickets give each member of your travel party entry to one Theme Park a day each day of your ticket.

I guess they could make it clearer but I think it pretty clear on how a base MYW ticket works. Remember they have to make it clear and legally correct.

I'm sorry, but that is absolutely incorrect. The machine "knows" that you've already been in a park that day and will now allow you in. Disney wants to separate you from as much of your money as possible. If this were the case, no one would ever pay for the hopper option.

You are correct that several years ago (I'm thinking it's been 5 or 6 years since it changed) you're package tickets were usually "Ultimate park hoppers" or something like that and you could enter as many parks as you wanted each day.
