Weird MM question

Ok, When we were there in November, we had GAT 2 MM hoppers. We palnned to use them on Sat and Sun. Our first day was Thursday (another MM day). They let us through the gates 30 minutes before official opening to cruise Main Street. A Cm was at the rope letting people in if they have MM. Following me? How do they know when to take the MM off of your card?

Who knows? Sounds like kind of a weird day, to have opened the park early to everyone on a MM day.

It was weird. We got in about 30 minutes early because we had breakfast at Storytellers and were ready to wait for regular entry. Non MM folks were shopping and a rope went across the street just past the Penny Arcade and a CM let people in after looking at their ticket. Our Ticket said MM. What was the difference? This was the only morning where we were not there at rope drop. Our other two MM days, it was set up the same way but we went in as we were using our MMs.

This happened when I last went. They had let people into Main Street 30 minutes early, but the rest was roped off except for a small pathway on the left that ended at a CM. If you are using your MM that day, they give you a laminated card that says MM and you give it to the CM inside that lets you bypass the early-entry people that are roped off on Main Street. In other words, just showing your ticket that says you have one MM isn't enough, you need that other card saying that you used the MM to get through.

That's interesting that you got a laminated card. On our two "true" mms we still just went in as usual and a CM was again at the rope!. Crazy right?

Ive been there a few times when they let us in a hafl hour early so we could shop. the rope was up and we could not go past it. only to shop. It happened several times on one trip

But how do they differentiate between who can go through and who can't? On our two days they gave us nothing. The CM looked at our park hopper to see if we had MM (I guess to make sure we were not AP holders). The reason I ask is because it sure seemed alot more crowded during MM than we have ever seen before and just wondering if some folks got through

Hmm yeah, no clue if they didn't give you the laminated card. I went in April so not too long ago. Who knows!?
