Just thinking about how strange this is...

DD12 spends summers with her dad on the other side of the state. Has been there since June 1st, won't be home til July 31.

But we met up in our rooms in VMK tonight, chatted, shopped, helped her decorate her room. Just like real life

Back in the day...when I was her age and spent summers with my dad, there was just the phone and snail mail. A lot has changed!

My kids are too little to VMK, but we do video conferencing between home and me at work when I'm on overnight shifts. I also set up my parents (in another state) with a Mac and video stuff so they can see their grandkids by video conference

On a Disney Cruise another DIS'er and I kept track of where our DD's were by posting on the boards!
