Weird Captain EO trivia

Okay I didn't know where to post this but I had to share...

I recently watched the Captain EO video on u-tube thanks to a link on another thread. Later that day my DS8 asked me to watch Star Wars Episode VI with him. Both are made by George Lucas. Well the blue elephant character called Hooter in EO always appears as a musician at Java the Hut's! I couldn't believe it - it was the same character except the Star Wars one didn't have holes in his trunk like a clarinet. I never would have realized if I hadn't seen the two on the same day. I guess Lucas was able to recycle one of his characters. I don't know which one came first.

Here's the Star Wars nerd inside of me leaking out....

the character's name is Max Rebo and he appears in JABBA (it's ok, innocent mistake ) the Hutt's palace.
He looks like this

The character in Captain EO you are referring to is called "Hooter" he looks like this

the appearance is similar, but not altogether identical at all. You mentioned the holes in the nose, there is also a difference in color, facial appearance, and hands/feet.

It's funny that you mention this though. I had a tiny little "Hooter" figurine when I was small and I used to play with him with my Star Wars figurines and pretend he was Max Rebo...yep

Plasticletters - I stand corrected!! Thanks for sharing your knowledge on this matter. I thought it was odd that they would be the same. And don't tell my DS that I misspelled Jabba - he would be very disappointed in me.
