Wow, what a bunch of updates! Your step by step tour of Fantasyland has made me so excited for our upcoming trip!!! Can you believe how fast yours is coming up? I have to do a bunch of last minutes errands and shopping this week to get ready for ours.

I love your misunderstood antagonist idea. Similar to those novels by Gregory Maguire. It would have been so fun to read all of the stories.

I have to admit that the last time I went on Snow White was years ago. In college, one of my good friends and I went there and both shrieked when we saw the old witch. Yup, seriously. But then again, I have always been afraid of the witch in Snow White and Sleeping Beauty. Some of the old Disney classics are pretty scary for a little kid!

DH was reading over my shoulder and he started laughing at your grumpy picture. So funny. Then he was like "oh they got married at Disney - right" I told he that you were engaged, but not married yet, and he looked at me really weird and said "that's Rachel the teacher right?" It was so cute - you are famous!

I totally agree about Snow White the movie. We watched it a few months back and it is kind of dark and scary. Bambi and Cinderella too. But I don't remember being scared by any of them as a child. I guess I was a much braver child than I am as an adult.

I love all your pictures of all the little details. I always want to look at them, but I get caught up in the "hey I'm at Disney World" and forget!

I'll hopefully be able to get updates today too because I have a snow day! And if you're so jealous of our upcoming trip, come along with us! Hehe.

HAHA, I feel so famous! I'm "Rachel the teacher"! I really want to get married this upcoming February, but I asked my mom about it, and she wants to be there, of course. I was like, "Would you be really upset if we just got married in February while we were there?" She paused for a long time and shrugged her shoulders before she finally said yes.

I can't wait to see all your pics of your DD enjoying WDW once again! I seriously can't believe we'll be going in less than a month. I fell so unprepared! I also can't believe I'm not done with this trip report yet. Talk about prolonging it! I took my time because I didn't think I'd go again for a while!

Some of the kids can be really creative when writing those stories. Others ... well ...

I read yesterday that they're closing the ride because they're making a small indoor coaster based on the dwarfs! Hopefully, I can ride it again before then.

Wednesday, April 7: Stuffed with Fluff!

The next ride on our tour of Fantasyland was The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh!

It's funny that Weird took this picture of the "Wi" because he was thinking about finding a way to use the letters in Disney World to propose so that WDW would be linked to our proposal! When I looked at the pictures that night, I must've not even noticed it or gone that far or something because I know I would've asked! Weird was afraid that I would!

I was more interested in the fact that they added a little bee on the sign near the honey! So cute that they added that teeny-tiny detail!

When we got on line, I was interested in the chains and how they can easily just move ONE linky thing to another pole and suddenly create more room for the queue.

What a fun-fun atmosphere out there! It's cool that when you're on line for a ride, you can very easily ignore what's going on outside.

This is an extremely blurry picture with an unreadable quotation, but this is when they were fixing up the Pooh queue! I didn't know that they were going to be changing it. I guess I didn't think too much of it at that time, but it's cool to think that there were changes going on BEHIND that wall that we saw, haha.

I love the concept of this ride because we're going through the pages of the book!

We had to skip the honey pot that came to us first because it was for a wheelchair. Pretty cool that there's just an empty honey pot!

Look at the pages coming out! Oh no! Are they ripped?

I saw this book was the Volume H! Hehe, H for Howard!

We were finally on our honeypot and ready to go!

The ride was so much fun. I pointed out all the hidden secret type things, like the pictures in Owl's house. I also had so so so much fun in the Heffalumps and Woozles part because I LOVE that song! I get really excited when I hear it on DIS radio. The bear that Howard got me as part of my Christmas present from Build-A-Bear Workshop is named Howie Wary Bear because of that song! "Beware, beware, be a very wary bear!" Haha. Yes, I'm weird.

The other part that was memorable was the fact that this was the first time that I went on the ride since reading Kingdom Keepers!!! If you haven't read it, go get it and then you'll understand why the rainy day scene is frightening! I tried ignoring the scary aspect of that room by pointing out the sandwich floating on the water!

Oh that Pooh! Why do you like honey so much?

Of course, we headed to the exit to get to the dump shop.

How adorable are those cash registers?!? They're honey pots!!!

If I had extra spending money, I so would've bought this for the baby I don't yet have and will not have for many more years! Why is it that I find cute things in this store for my non-existent children? In my previous TR, I found a cute baby Tigger hat that I absolutely loved!

These are cute and "cool" shirts.

Isn't it terrible that Disney makes the majority of their plushies so cute? It makes me want to get it even though I have no need for any plushies!

That's funny ... I just saw on someone's TR that they make pillow pet type pillows with some of the Disney characters. It looks like this is it! Haha, Weird saw it and took a picture of it already, I guess!

Isn't it great how they even made those mannequins specifically for Pooh's Thotful Shop (that's what it was still called then!). They have honey pot heads!

Okie dokie, we were done with Fantasyland for right now because Tomorrowland was calling our name!

Sidenote: It wasn't just for the proposal that I was planning, it was for the a engagement/wedding book because you notice that it says "I do" on the page? Haha it's funny how different the way the actual proposal went!

Wednesday, April 7: Friendly Competition Once Again!

After we finished with Winnie the Pooh, we headed back to Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin. This ride never gets old, but I do admit that it can get frustrating if my scores don't go up each time. Did they continue to go up during this repeat ride? Let's see!

I don't know if I pointed this out in the earlier part of this TR, but in this picture, you can see one of the old ticket kiosks. I like that there's a part of history right there in front of your face.

I don't think I've ever noticed this before. It's probably because we always pass by the Mad Tea Cups without a second glance because I know I'll never get on it again. Gettin' too old for it!

Love this Mickey! We ended up at this store so many times during our February 2011 trip!

I asked Weird to take a picture of this because I remember reading Merchant of Venice in college.

Love the Blue Line! Wish I could take it to work every day.

We finally arrived at our destination to use our FP. Off we go on our ride!

How did we score? Weird's is on the left and mine is on the right. He was still beating me with a big gap! But I was happy that at least I was going up in my score. As a reminder, Weird got 261,500 on the first ride, so he actually went down a bit. I got 175,600 on the first ride, so at least I was going up! It's like what I tell my students ... we want to see the upward trend!

Even though he was beating me by a lot, I was still enjoying the fact that we were on one of my favorite rides TOGETHER!

Here's our redneck photo. It always bothers me a bit when this photo is taken because it means we can't turn our vehicle!

As we were leaving the dump shop, I took a picture with Zurg. For those of you who followed along during my February 2008 TR, you might remember that Zurg ATTACKED me then. It was either that or I was careless and bumped my head against his elbow. I was showing my anger here!

Okay, where would we go next? We were still in Tomorrowland, so maybe we'll take a spin on my all-time favorite ride!

Don always beats me at Buzz too, it's so aggravating, lol! I did beat him one time though, when we were in DL. There you can email your ride photo to yourself, I made sure that I emailed it so that I would be able to remember that moment forever

Great update!! I love Buzz-- my score usually stays the same, too. The only time I ever beat DBF was the first time he rode, when he didn't know that you get points just by pressing the trigger button. Once he caught on, he killed me on Buzz every time!

I can't help that I feel competitive! Haha, I thought I had an advantage since I had been on it before, but I knew he had the advantage of just being better at games and spatial visualization! When I play games, I don't mind if I lose (I never want anyone to LET me win), but at the same time, I get very upset with myself if I don't win!

During our first ride, I pointed out all the high scoring targets that I knew about. It would only be fair! My favorite target is the volcano just because I like making it erupt!
