Does anyone have any idea how many Weight watcher's points are in a Mickey Ice cream bar? These are the ones with vanilla ice cream with a hard chocolate outside that they sell off the ice cream carts in the parks. I have the dining plan and I want to have one of these treats as my snack :) Thanks.

after researching the manufacturer of the bars and some other similar products it is safe to say that one mickey ice cream bar is 8 points. Hope this helps...

Sometimes, I think that even though you have good intentions of counting your points while in Disney it may be better to try to increase fruits, veggies, and water for your sides. Eat what you want and do dessert a few times at least on vacation. Come back from vacation, then regroup. You will be more upset and have more cravings if you deprive yourself from the snacks you want. I say go for it, forget counting, enjoy your trip, and start over when you are back home.

I'm a huge dessert eater and do just that while I'm in WDW. I make sure to get up early and get my work out in. Then, I just try to remember to only eat when I'm hungry. Otherwise, anything goes. But, IMHO, the Mickey Bar could be zero points and I still wouldn't want one - I also don't like Tonga Toast. I know it's weird but the Mickey Bar just leaves me desperately thirsty and a little bit nauseous.

I was doing WW last year when I went to WDW. I started off watching everything I ate, but with going to buffet after buffet I kind of gave up and figured I would start again when I got home. I also agree with a PP. It is your vacation. WW will be there when you get home. Enjoy yourself. Anyway, when I went to my first meeting after getting back, I was shocked to find out that I had LOST 4 lbs. It is all that walking and water drinking that does it. So my advice is to just live and have fun.

I went my first trip and while I didn't count, I definately watched what I ate...and regretted it. You do so much walking, and so what if you gain a few pounds. The food is totally worth it. And you're not going to get your money's worth on the DDP if you avoid things due to points. I say be strict ahead of time, drink lots of water and walk a lot while in disney. Indulge, but don't eat every bite of everything, but relax about it, then come home, go to a meeting, and get back on plan.

I believe weight loss is important, but how many times do you get to go to disney. Take it all in, and get back on track when you get home. It's not like you'd realistically gain more than 5 lbs, AT VERY MOST. You will easily be able to lose it again, especially since it's not part of your normal routine.

On our last trip DFi and I were really into WW and decided that we would NOT stick to it in Disney, it was only a 4 day trip and we were on the DDP. We almost had a heart attack when we saw the fat content of the desert they give ou with your CS meal in Mexico!! So we didn't eat that. That was the only time that I said we just can't eat it. But I think that's what WW is all about, it just makes you more aware of what you're putting in your body. I'd say just be aware but don't deprive yourself. With all the walking we did, we got back and I stayed the same and DFi lost 4 POUNDS! Men!

BTW, I had the nachos and they were delicious! A WW no no but sooo good!
