Weight Watchers and Disney..YIKES!

I made Lifetime just days before our trip. I came home from the trip down about half a pound. I skipped breakfast or just ate a granola bar/WW muffin around 9:30. Then, I split lunch with my DD6, including the dessert. At dinner, I ate my appetizer, entree, and dessert without a second thought. I didn't use many of my snack credits, although I did have a couple Mickey bars. Also, I didn't drink anything with calories. I stuck to water, tea, and diet sodas. Honestly, between the walking and the not feeling like eating too much b/c of the heat, I think you'll be fine! Have a great trip!

So glad you posted this question! I've been on WW for 2 months and have lost 15 lbs. I have eatten what I want just in much smaller portions, so I don't feel deprived. I have 2 more months before my vacation and I really don't want to obsess on what I will be eating while at the world but I'm getting the free dining and did want to try a couple of things not on the plan(cinnamon rolls, french toast loaf, and assorted deserts!!) I was hoping i could eat what I wanted within reason because of all the walking. So glad to hear positive experiences with you all!!
Can't wait to go!! :cheer2: :mickeyjum

I lost 108 pounds total, going from 230 lbs (i'm 5'8 22 yr old Female) to 122 lbs at my lowest. I gained 10 pounds over Christmas at WDW. I totally just ate whatever I wanted. I have put on some more on top of that and I'm now about 155lbs. Trying to get down again before our next trip but it's SO hard! I think gaining all the weight at disney had to do with the fact that it was not hot at all and so we didn't exert as much energy walking around. When we've gone in the summer months we either didn't gain or lost a little. I would say DONT JUST EAT SALAD. Honestly, it's a rare treat to be able to visit the mouse so just relax and enjoy yourself and get back to business when you get home.

As you all are aware already, if I learned nothing else losing all this weight is how to make good choices, portion control and drink the water. With all the walking, I think I will be OK.. Thanks for all the encouragement.
**ps....for all of us who know....isn't it great to not fit into your clothes and have to go to the "regular" dept. instead of the plus end...lol

I had stayed faithfully OP until our April trip and then that week I ate EVERYthing - and I do mean everything - that came my way. Ok....maybe not everything but for lunch and dinner and dessert I had whatever I wanted. I lost 2 lbs somehow - from all the walking?

If you plan to walk a lot I wouldn't worry.

I did the exact exact same thing... I ate everything and still lost... it has to be the miles of walking.

Just returned from 12 days on the dining plan. Only gained 1 pound, but ate whatever I wanted. Tried (key word is tried) to make healthy choices, and since we were so full from the meals...ate very few snacks. I think that is what kills me at home. Anyway...had a great time, tried a lot of new foods, and believe it or not....am actually tired of dessert. Back OP today!!!

Our secret (besides drinking water) is to split meals whenever possible, so NO "dining plans." As most on WW know, portion control matters a lot. We try to eat "healthy" most meals, also, but allow some splurges. As others have said, you'll be walking a bunch and 1-2 pound gains are really overcomable (if that's a word!). Good luck and congrats! As a 35 lb loser, I know how you feel! :goodvibes
