I haven't seen this asked anywhere. Has anyone who has had weight loss surgery used a card at Disney to get a child's meal at a table service restraunt?

if you're paying out of pocket, you can just order child's meal. If you're on the Dining Plan, you can also just order the child's meal, but they will charge you the adult credit. Most buffets will charge you the adult price.

Seems like there have been postings about limited success with getting any concessions on prices with medical cards.

I've never had a problem ordering a kids meal at counter service or table service. From what I've read, people have had mixed success at buffet's. I have no personal experience with that since I haven't had the surgery, I'm just not a big eater due to diabetes.

i had gastric bypass surgery 5 years ago and i have a card from my surgeon, but have never used it. i've heard people have limited success with the card at disney. i always just pay the adult price and eat what i can. at CS, you could order a kid's meal, but the options aren't very appealing or wls friendly. i prefer to get the adult meal.

Not a surgery person, just a calorie counter, even on vacation.
I find tastier options by ordering ala carte at TS. Sometimes I choose a healthy appetizer and have that for my entree, or I'll choose a soup and salad or some other combo I put together myself.
Often the kiddie menu has (surprisingly) lots of fat and empty calories vs other options.

My DW had ban surgery, we share every main dish when we do TS obviously non buffet. We do way less buffets because they start to be a waste of money for us.

My wife is a light eater. More of grazer. We have never had any issues ordering off the kids menu for her when we wanted to.

At Ts places there have been reports of some success with the medical card from your Dr,BUT it is up to the discretion of the restaurant. At Buffets you will be charged ADULT prices .
