For those of you who have lost a substantial amount of weight...what have your arms done? Have you lost some of the underarm flab? I started working with 7 pound weights on each arm and doing bicep and tricep curls. I feel it in my arms as they are somewhat achy. I was just wondering what happens to the "flabby arm syndrome"???

Unfortunately, you cannot spot reduce. So doing curls will not help reduce the fat in that area. Work on lower your overall bodyfat and the area under your arms will reduce in proportion with the rest of your body.

Your on the right track with the weights though. Instead of just hitting your arms, put together a routine for your whole body and try to do it a few times a week.

EDIT: just re-read your post, and I may have misunderstood. Did you already lose alot of weight, and now have excess skin under your arms? If so then disregard my post..... :)

i can't say i've totally walked in your shoes, as for losing substantial weight -- but i do know for the arm-flap you'll want to work your trices like you mentioned but there are other exercises that target that area: triceps dips, overhead tricep dips and pushups. good luck that is a TOUGH area to tone! never give up though!
