Hi All,

I know that it has been discussed a few times, but I am looking for opinions/experiences with both. We are going to be at BWV in 39 days:yay: and for the first time will have groceries delivered. Ideally, we want the groceries delivered to our room. Do we need to be there? Can we get beer delivered? How do the costs compare? Garden Grocer has groceries prices posted on their site while WEGOSHOP does not. Do you find out what there are charging when you place your orde,r or when your card is hit? We used to do the towncar and 1 hour stop for groceries, but thought that ME would be a litle easier and the thought of not having to shop is great!

Any experiences/opinions would be appreciated.

Thanks

I can't comment on Wegoshop but we have used Garden Grocer twice and have been very happy with the service. We weren't in our room either time when the delivery was made but they drop off your order with bell services who then puts the cold items in a fridge or freezer. Upon delivery we also received a phone message from Garden Grocer letting us know that the delivery was made.
When we get back to our room we just called bell services who then delivered our groceries to our room.
I've got their website saved to my favorites and will be using them again in March.

Agree with PP....Garden Grocer was outstanding. Good timing, good communications and the order was delivered correctly. Will be using them again in May.

We used GG on our last visit and would use them again. They were great.

Wegoshop charges you exactly what the store charges them. They actually give you the store receipt when they deliver the groceries. All you have to pay is the service fee that they publish on thier website. We used Wegoshop on our last trip and I highly recommend them.

We also just used Garden grocer and it was great. Prices are a little higher than what I like, but I liked knowing what the prices would be in advance. The order arrived before we did and was delivered to bell services. Bell services stored the cold stuff properly.

Will probably try WeGoShop next time to do the comparison myself.

We have used Marge at wegoshop at least 6 times and each time have found it convenient and very reasonable. They will drop off the grocerices with bell services but, if you're like us, and order alcohol of any kind, you have to be there to sign. They give you a time they will deliver and they call you. We have been in Epcot most times they've called and just walked back to BCV or BWV to sign for the delivery. The prices are just what you would pay at home and you can choose where they shop for you if you have a preference. They also let you know when they deliver that if you run out of anything to call them again and they will deliver (I don't remember if it's free of charge or for a reduced charge)

I too am curious about wegoshop
I've looked into wegoshop and it looks like you give them your order and they go to whatever store you want them too and buy and bring it back. I get all that, what I'm curious about is how detailed do you have to be with your list. Let's say I want them to pick up bread, milk and cheese. Do i have to say the exact type of bread and the loaf size or can i just say large loaf of wheat bread, 1 gallon whole milk, and 1 large package shreadded cheddar. How specific do i need to get with the list...

I am tittering on the edge between the two, Garden grocer because I will be able to see exactly what i'm getting, or wegoshop because it has a greater variety.

Sorry for the slight Hi-jacking

TIA

We used Garden Grocer, easy to use their site and they filled any written requests to a TEE (like asking for a lowfat product rather than fat free on their site). We would definitely use again!

We used Wegoshop once and Garden Grocer twice. I like Garden Grocer better. I like the fact that I know exactly what I am getting. The Garden Grocer website is quick and easy to use and the customer service is great. A few items that I wanted from Wegoshop were substituted with something that I did not want and I did not ask for a substitution. Don't get me wrong, I didn't have a "bad" experience with either, but I like Garden Grocer better.

We've used wegoshop.com and we were very happy.

We used WeGoShop in December and were very pleased. As has already been posted here, you tell them exactly what you want and the buy it. We were very explicit about brands and sizes, and they did exactly what we wanted. They purchased everything at Publix and gave us the receipt. They add a service fee, which is where their profit is, and I gave them a tip too. They arrived exactly when we expected and they carried the groceries up to the room.

I haven't used Garden Grocer, but I was put off by having to use just their list instead of being open to request anything. There were some things that we wanted that were not on their list.

We used wegoshop for our recent Thanksgiving week stay. Previously, we had used Garden Grocer.

I found that it was easier to type my grocery list into a Word file and email it to wegoshop, versus clicking for hours on items at Garden Grocer. I did like Garden Grocer in 2006 and 2008, but we decided to try something different. We got exactly what we ordered, and some BOGOF specials, and if something was not available, I got a call beforehand and was asked for a substitution.

We were very pleased with the service this year. Delivery charge is higher than Garden Grocer, but we were happy just the same.

We love WeGoShop. We've used them for a few trips now and wouldn't switch. I love that you are not limited to a list and they will shop where ever you want. We like shopping at Whole Foods and eat a lot of organics and they are perfect shoppers. You give them your list and you pay what the store charges along with their fee. They will do another delivery for you with a lessened fee for the second run. You can be as specific or as non- specific as you care to be.

For instance, 2 of our items that was very specific.
-2 loaves Rudi's Organic Bakery Bread
(Multigrain Oat, Honey Sweet Whole Wheat or 100% Whole Wheat *will take another organic whole wheat or oat bread if necessary*)

-1/2 gallon Stoneyfield farm organic whole milk

or you can just say...
1 loaf of whole wheat bread, no high fructose corn syrup
1/2 gallon whole milk

...or something like that.

They will get as close to what you want as possible. You also tell them if you would like substitutions or not at their discretion. I have even emailed them a day ahead of time and requested add-ons to my already sent list and they have always obliged. They are very professional and personal at the same time. We have never been disappointed. :goodvibes

I think we liked WeGoShop better because we were able to get the things we wanted without a hassle. They will go to any store and even multiple stores for you if you ask them to when you require specific things. This made it much easier for us with our 9 month year old baby. We were able to get her specific brand of formula and diapers and not just go with what was on GG's list. Of course, the pricing was spot on and the fee was insignificant enough to make it really worth it.

They delivered the stuff right to our room and were very friendly and conversational with us. It was a very pleasant experience with no hassles whatsoever. Make sure you tip the guy! He did an awesome job and we will gladly use them again and recommend them to anyone.

We have never used Garden Grocer however we have used Wegoshop all six times we have visted. We have never been disappointed. Both Marge the former owner and Amy the current owner are fantastic. They are very nice people and do a great job. Looking forward to using them for both of our visits this coming year.

WE GO SHOP for our last 8 trips.

NEVER an issue. You get the reciept for your purchases...and if there are sales (like buy 1 get 1 free) she does it...

Also, will stop and get wine, beer, etc.

LOOve them

Kim

We have used wegoshop twice the first time under Marge, I gave a very specific list and it was all fine no problems at all.

This trip Oct 2010 we used them again, i gave a less specific list and it wasn't a problem however the delivery was a nightmare. The shopping was delivered over 5 hours later, it was around 10pm/11pm at night I don't remember which. This was a nightmare for us as we had flown in from England that day and with time differences it was the small hours of the morning for us and we were all shattered.

We expected the delivery fee to be wavered due to their lateness, thats how it works for us in the UK but we were just given a token discount and not much of an apology.

Think we may try garden grocer next time.
